Yes, it won’t react as you’d expect a normal “switch” to.

Don’t concern yourself with the other leads, there will be no problem there 😉

Set the fridge thermostat to full and leave the door open, it should react within 20 minutes at most and cut back in (normally)

Please remember I am only “distance diagnosing” here, but in general auto defrost stats are by far and away the most common cause of intermittent problems with refrigeration (if they have one fitted of course).

Good plan, word of mouth is always the best way of getting good service 😀

If you get stuck, try repairs@ and the directories here as well.

It’s got to be a blockage somewhere, either that or the pump is failing, can you hear it running the whole time it should be draining ?

Re: Zanussi Fridge Freezer keeps defrosting

There is a sort of delay yes, it’s an auto defrost thermostat which has a huge differential between cut out and cut in.

Which two thin leads ? Connected to the fridge thermostat ?
if it’s those they are are normally a heater around the door to prevent ice build up.

    Re: new networks and existing.

If that’s the case someone is feeding the info back to them, as far as I know, no-one from ServicePower has access to the trade forums.

It’s probably just “feedback” I would imagine though.

Re: Zanussi Fridge Freezer keeps defrosting

As this is only a partially frost free unit, the fridge section relies on a standard auto defrost thermostat/evaporator control rather than fan assisted cold air which also switches the compressor on and off, that’s where the problem will lie I think to be honest.

Next time it cuts out and fails to come back on, tap the thermostat housing in the fridge, sometimes it will “encourage” the stat to cut back in.

    Hope that helps.

There are three dependant on the serial number so I’ll need that to identify please

Also, as this is a gas cooker I have to legally inform you that the part must be fitted by a Corgi registered engineer with the relevent ACS qualifications.

    Re: Oven controls too hot

I thought you may be interested, as I just answered another query for someone with A Firenzi dishwasher who suspected it was a Zanussi I had a quick look for this model while using the tech disk, and lo and behold, this oven is a Zanussi, well Electrolux group anyway.

And, no it doesn’t have or is meant tio have a cooling fan, except on the electronically controlled versions.
