Thanks Mark.
Vaughan, part kit would be about £80 altogether with post and vat.
As Mark says, it needs wiring modification so it may be an engineers only job.
If you need any help with that, have a look in the directories or let us know your postcode.

ParticipantRe: AEG vs Miele
The Miele would be the better choice in my opinion.
The AEG is basically a Zanussi in disguise with more control options, a good machine none the less but the Miele wins in my book.

It sounds as if the control pcb has failed to be honest.
I would call an engineer to confirm this for you as they aren’t cheap.
If you let us know your postcode or have a look in the directories, someone should be able to assist further.

The belt part number you should have recieved is 1258324001, I don’t know why it took so long for you to get one though, we keep them in stock.
I’m not sure about the conversion kit, I never knew one existed, it does sound like the most sensible answer though.
What’s the part number Mark ?

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Condenser TC 470 not drying
There are a couple of things to remember with this particular problem:
There are two different versions of this dryer and two different belts, one is mounted in a straight drive manner – clockwise motor rotation, clockwise fan rotation – the other is vice-versa where the belt crosses over (twisted).
Also check the small sponge block that may be glued to the chassis on the crossover type belt as this stops the belt rubbing against itself in operation. If it’s missing the belt will get damn hot and stretch.
Check for the rating plate and post up the PNC (product number code) and the serial number, it’s very likely that you have the wrong belt or it’s fitted incorrectly.

Verbally they say they won’t enforce it. I asked for confirmation in writing over a month ago (see the nesn in spin mode thread).
I never recieved the letter 🙄

ParticipantRe: LG spares?
Hmm. Interesting that.
You are of course correct, what I find bemusing is that the door on the diagram is only shown as complete, giving the impression that that’s the only way it comes.
I wonder how many doors LG sell when they are not really required 👿

ParticipantRe: Diplomat oven door
Lizzie, I assume this is the larger of the two doors as the diagram only shows the two doors seperately, but by the look of the cavity the large cavity is the lower one.
I’ll give you both just in case 😉
Large door outer glass £72.61
Small door outer glass £49.93Add £7.50 to cover postage etc.
Let me know if you need one ordered by email and I can arrange delivery to you etc.

Where does it show that Brian ?
When I checked on there, the only diagram I can find shows the whole door complete 😕

ParticipantRe: LG spares?
It’s a whole door only Washerdoctor.
From LG it’s £56.58 ex VAT 😯
Even more shockingly from Connect it’s £84.19 ex VAT :eeek:

It’s the shelf supports you need which are a complete multi height runner for each side of the oven.
You will need two of them at £12.18 each plus £5 postage inc VAT.
If you need to order them let me know by email and I’ll let you have further details.
Dave.
