You’ll need to know the make of the motor Tony.

It’ll probably be a Selni though, if it is, go the main forum menu and use the search thing and type in “Selni” 😉 (without the quotes of course).

Re: Patten or Genuine Spare Parts ????

Good thread this and most interesting reading.

I think ours is around the 50/50 mark also, mainly due to us selling spares over the counter and I have over the years learned where to buy identical spares in different and cheaper boxes 😉

On the whole though, Hotpoint and Merloni spares are virtually all purchased as genuine components, due to the special offers given to account holders, even “universal” spares not intended for the Hotperloni products we purchase due to the good prices we are ofered, i.e. VT9 thermostats and Dishwasher cutlery baskets.

As far as the Partfinder disk goes, Brian, you will remember the thread where we discussed the various manufacturer’s disks and relative prices and the info available on them, the info is all there and my comments remain unchanged.

Thanks for starting this thread though, most useful, especially the comments on trying to stop the trend of BER applainces by improving technical information and spares prices.

I’ll watch and comment with interest as this has a long way to go.

How about making online versions (pdf docs) and the like available for manuals, paper production costs you, one upload is there for life with no ongoing costs involved other than the webserver, which is already there.

Fairly straightforward if you have general idea of how to go about drum bearing replacement.

Check around the public areas, there’s lots of references to it.

He certainly won’t and isn’t. I have not agreed to rejoin the network, merely carried out a couple of calls to try and see if there was any trust to be regained and bridges to be rebuilt.

To be honest, all seemed well until this little gem appeared.

    Re: Beware Of Trojan Horses

They are certainly on the PR trail at the moment.

I have learned from my conversations with Jo Lo that they are fully aware that they are basically “Mud” in the eyes of, not only the agents but the manaufacturers/insurers as well.

There was even talk at an internal meeting apparently of rebranding the company, which wouldn’t work IMO as everyone would still know who/what they are and have done in the past.

I don’t actually think that they would be stupid enough to go around screwing any agents though, I was given the number of the guy currently covering my area (not had chance to speak to him yet, but i will :)) apparently he doesn’t want the work as he’s miles away and is doing it as a favour to NESN. That’s only here of course, that may well differ in other areas ?

I’ll be talking to her again next week when I’m back in the office and feed back any other snippets I can get.

At the moment, I have asked for a letter, signed by the directors which basically will quash any reference to the previous contract, as some of you know, I had to do a couple of calls for them recently to “gain” some information that was for Kevin’s benefit, so we now know who the “rat” is that sent the fax to Jo Lo.

We are still an appointed Hotpoint centre at the moment but are in talks with other manufacturers with a view to changing the {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of their products we currently hold.

We certainly won’t be ordering anymore gas products from them 😉

There’s no easy way of draining a flooded base really, which is what it sounds like has happened.

You can get at it by removing the decor door and the plinth, then the lower panel of the dishwasher then mopping it up with a towel.

Please make sure it’s disconnected from the power 1st though.

It’s unlikely the PCB is that “intelligent” to be honest.

I know, in the past, I’ve put universal Askoll and Plaset pumps in LG top and front loaders with no adverse effects.
