Apart from the thermostat itself, which you’ve already replaced, the most common thing we find is poor water circulation. Normally caused by lower spray arm blocked or worn. Sometimes the cutlery basket may be damaged as well allowing knives etc to drop through the bottom and stop the arm rotating.

Dishwasher fresheners also cause problems on occasion when hung from the upper basket in daft positions.

    Hmmm

I wonder if, when the engineer changed the pcb the plug/lead to the flowmeter got yanked a bit.

    I’ll check that out.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks DP

I did think it may be a flowmeter problem, but given the main motor had “frazzled” and blown the board, you would normally assume everything ese to be OK.

Do the flowmeters have a habit of failing ?

    Thanks.

It is just the button you are after rather than the ignition unit itself I’m assuming ?

I’ll check in the morning for you 😀

Faulty new module by the sounds of it, or possibly o/c pump.

This is a Merloni (Servis) type isn’t it ?

    Re: London & General Holdings

    Hey, that was good timing.

I had cause yesterday to phone LGH to chase payment for a call carried out in March which was originally passed through Care4 and subsequently invoiced to Care4 who then pass the invoice to LGH for payment.

“Have you recieved the claim ?” I Asked – “Yes, and we have paid it” Was the reply.

At which point I queried the payment and was about to phone Care4 and ask why the payment hadn’t been passed on to us when I was informed they had in fact paid the customer !

So now the customer has had her cooker repaired and been paid hansomely for the priviledge.

How many other companies would pay an invoice and send payment to a customer when the invoice came from the repair company ?

Embarrasing phone call to customer has resulted in me leaving an answerphone message and no reply as yet 😥

Re: indesit wg1130t washing machine belt

Well the belt is £12 inc if you want to try it.

Could someone confirm that part number C00027206 is actually a stretch on belt please ?

It doesn’t tell me on the info and I don’t have one in stock here at the moment.
