Just be careful where you put the bag :rolls: The last time we used this the bag had a very very tiny hole in it and it, yep the fluid leaked out which stripped the colour out of our nice blockwood worktop :eeek:

Like John it’s the best we have found.

Available from most leading supermarkets around a fiver.

    Re: Best Compromise hob

    Hi

Yes that is about right, they do require good ventilation in order to keep the fans running. Issues arise if these installation instructions are not adhered to and if the hob fails the manufacturers will decline to repair.

Attached is the Bosch induction drawing which is pretty much typical of most manufacturers. Also bear in mind induction hobs have a heavier connected load so make sure you have an an ample power outlet.

    Re: Two freestanding induction cookers

The Zanussi will be the scaled down version of the AEG made exclusively for JLP hence the difference in the spec and the lower price ticket.

I suspect the grill pan is the full width variety like the Bosch and Neff which if full with cooking you would be able to hold it with a single handle. There are now two hand handles available for these.

The pan will have one edge beveled for easy handling when held with gloves etc.

Probably a good idea to visit your nearest JLP to see the differences.

    Re: Two freestanding induction cookers

    Hi

Zanussi and AEG are both part of the same company. JLP have a lot of product produced by this group for them.

You can compare them both on the John Lewis website. Some of the JLP model detail is missing but reading across the spec I would wager it would be similar spec. There must be something slightly different as the total connected load on the Zanussi is 700w less.

Cosmetically different and a £100 cheaper if you go for the Zanussi version.

For some unknown reason the comparing url will not link across to this post so I have attached a screenshot of the most important detail.

    HTH 🙂

Which part number did you find? It may just save someone else in the future with the same problem.

I was working on the basis that it was better than nothing 😉

If condenser is really needed then you will need to forsake the built in look and fit a freestanding machine.

Re: American fridge, washer, dryer, dishwasher

Miele washer dryers are known to be the best and do what what they say it will do. As Samuri mentioned Beko not a bad all round option for the dishwasher and fridge. Gorenje products are worth a look as well.
