Maurice Lay are the main appointed wholesalers for large appliances and Connect distribution for floor care products. We used to deal with ML many moons ago when they were Lux group distributors and found them okay at the time.The on-line suppliers are indeed working on very small margins.
Miele have just closed lots of small accounts (ourselves included) as they search for higher volume customers.
It may be worth contacting a local stockist to see if you could purchase through them, that way you are adding to their turnover at the same time.
I know Miele don’t like this sort of thing happening but there are ways around it.
