    Re: Whirlpool AWO/D4505 tub

First I have ever heard of that one. Whirlpool instructions for use state it`s a twelve month warranty with an option on extending the parts guarantee to eight years by an extra payment.

Good for your customer though 😀

The S66M63 has a drop down door as shown in the catalogue, so I can only assume the S65 has the same arrangement. A phone call to Neff on 01908 328300 is probably the best way to confirm the info is correct.

New models not yet on Neff website are 2 compact dishwashers in stainless steel finish. The 6 place setting S65M63 450mm height compact dishwasher standard width of 595 can be built under worktop or in column. It`s sister the S66M63 is 600mm high and 595 wide which carries 8 place settings and has the same build in or under option.

Both models are in stock at Neff and are available for delivery, both can be found in the new 2010 catalogue.

    Hi TC

The Zanussi ZWC1300W and the Candy Aqua100F-80 are the only ones out there. Low volume sellers with a high ticket price I`m afraid.

Re: Installing free-standing washers and tumble behind doors

    Hi Mrsrg

Integrated appliances are on average 550mm deep which allows hopefully for plumbing and door depth to fit under a standard 600 worktop. Freestanding come in at 60cm for your average 6kg washing machine while bigger capacities can be as deep as 64cm. So in order to build behind a 600 freestanding machine you would probably need a 700 deep worktop.

The only exception I know of currently is the Bosch 4.5kg machine which comes in at 400mm depth. Sadly Bosch do not produce a slim depth dryer to match.

I would seek the advice of your kitchen designer / installer before ordering any appliances.

    Hi shorey73

Can you post up the model number and the 12 number code starting 854 which can be found behind the salad crisper in the fridge section.

Hopefully then one of the engineers will be able to help.

Maybe its time to replace it, made in britain doesn’t mean what it used to, sadly.

White Knight are still a good bet in the budget range, build quality isn`t what it used to be but they are still a reasonable dryer and spares are still relatively cheap as well.

The Zanussi range is a good all round bet IMO, solid product for the price and easily accessible spares.

Both brands should give you a life of about six to eight years for an out lay of around the £200 to £250 mark if you look after it.

These ISE machines look nice but i won’t pay £700 for a dryer, what is another reasonable machine for less than half of that?

If you have the funds to hand the ISE is a very good value product and I would recommend it everytime.

It will have a ten year guarantee to start with and with it`s robust construction it should go for a good twenty years. Spares have no mark up, so economical to repair, service is from your local supplying engineer, no call centre to go through.

    Hi merlin14

Aha I see the reasoning and the logic now 😉 In that case yes I agree in what you are saying.

The dishwasher you are going to have to go with I`m afraid as it`s the only one which fits your criteria. The single ovens B46E74 and the I presume you mean the B45M42? This Neff link compares both models and you can see which optional extras would suit you best.

    Hi pp

In a nutshell starting with the Classixx 6kg 1200 or 1400 no display, Avantixx the same but with a digital display and a couple more options. Exxcell 7kg range with various spin speeds and increased options, lastly the Logixx 8kg teardrop drum and yet even more options. This Bosch laundry link will give you the full picture.

It`s not only the shareholders that will suffer, most pension providers invest in BP as well so your pension pot may not be as well off as you may think if this situation carries on for some time. BP`s share price will take some time to recover it`s losses as confidence in the company is at a very low point at the moment.
