I know that when the hose exits the dishwasher i would have to loop it up like on a washing machine but if i made sure the rest of the hose has a gradient on it so it slopes down to the exit would that be fine?

    That should be fine.

I forgot about the electric cable, i dont suppose you know how long that is do you. Where the dishwasher would go we currently have a compact hotpoint tumble dryer and that reaches the plug socket, so if it is the same length or longer that should be fine.

A quick measure says it`s 1.7 metres and it exits from the right hand side, looking from the front of the machine.

    Re: Siemens WXLI 1240 – worth £400?

    Hi simpo

That`s a cracking machine, good quality and good spec as you can see here http://householdappliances.kelkoo.co.uk … 46601.html
Model numbers change about once a year sometimes the change to the actual appliance may be only cosmetic. Looking back through my price lists that machine was discontinued somewhere round last August but it will still be covered by the Siemens two year warranty.

At £400 it is a good buy. I would check to make sure the installation kit is there along with the instructions on install and how to use the appliance. You will not find anything out there at that sort of price to compare it with, so I would get snapping 😉

    Re: ariston customer instruction manual

I`ve been having a play around with this site as in the above post http://www.manualsmania.com/ it covers quite a few of the popular brands and the model number history is excellent for example I looked at Hotpoint laundry and the books available go from the 6200 right up to the WT965 machines all for download on pdf.

Any worth adding the link to the “lost your instructions posts” in the public forums ?

if i installed it myself would this void the guarantee?

No not at all, just make sure that all connections are sound ie no leaks at the plumbing and the condition of the socket is good.

thank you for the measurement with the door open i had looked all over the bosch website and internet and couldnt find an accurate measurement.

Having some Bosch dishwashers in stock makes it easy 😉

    anthony16 wrote:
One other thing do you know what the maximum pumping distance is on these dishwashers?

Certainly no more than 3 metres as the pump just won`t carry it. Make sure the waste hose is above the pumping level as well.

    Hi Simonb

I found this site which I must say looks like a good resource for downloading instruction manuals I have now added it to my favourites.

Try this link for the Ariston AWD1600 hit the blue button, enter the security words shown and hey presto.

    Re: A few questions

    Hi Ant

1 I cannot see any reason as to why not. I`m sure if there is someone will post up 😉

2&3 I would get the plumber in, it`s far easier to see what the situation is at first hand to see what is needed. For information the waste hose is 170cm long and exits from the rear left hand corner.

4 Personally I would like to install to a reasonable level surface but there is a 20mm adjustment on the feet.

5 By laying some tiles would not really affect the noise level that much but it would give you that more level surface as in the previous question 😉

6 Bosch are excellent products and have a two year guarantee. Given the choice I would go with the 46E22 as it has the added advantages of an all stainless steel interior, easier height adjustment of the top basket, fold down racks in both baskets and is slightly quieter at only 49db.

7 The depth of dishwasher with the door down is 1165mm including the overhang on the worktop lid.

    Greg

We use Tradeplace but then we sell Bosch / Neff appliances as well. As for the price for using it, I guess it`s built in to the cost price of the product.

I was by a customer a little while ago for one and all I could find was the Miele, there are a few vented ones out there if you can get the hose away.
Try this Kelkoo link for some options.

    Hi Steven

Criminal Record Checks or CRB as they are known are now used widely not only in employment, but sadly in sport even amateur. As the welfare officer for our local cricket club, because the club runs junior sections, coaches, helpers, groundstaff and even tea people have to be CRB checked. I am therefore responsible for ensuring that anyone who could come into contact has a curent CRB certificate, all unpaid of course :rolls:

If you type CRB checks into Google there is loads more info.

    Hi

Howdens are part of the MFI group. More than likely these will be mainly Hygena and Diplomat, quality is alright but not one of the best for the price you will pay. I would rather look at someone like the Neff range for longevity of life and service back up, they also have a two year warranty.

As for fridge freezers some good reading here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=213 good reading here

    and here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … age&pid=17
