I`d rather sell loads of Bosch than some of the tosh that is currently being offered elsewhere 😉 .

It`s all about re-educating customers. Trouble is nowadays is that their expectations are much higher than ever before. All I try to do is sell the idea of trading up in price and then tell them the benefits in doing so ie less energy, less resources and the longer the appliance stays in the home the less the impact on recycling. Not only that but it`s good for us too as a retailer.

Happy customer = happy retailer 😀

    Hi tweds

I would stick with those brands for sure. They all offer good quality products with reasonable storage and in the colour option you are looking for. Only downside of stainless steel is the finger marks. However a good smearing of baby oil on a regular basis is one answer to this problem.

Surely as a retailer you have to have a balance of products to suit all ages, budgets and styles otherwise you are going to be type cast. We stock the Merloni rangeof appliances, so we have the dreaded indesit machines, while they are not the sharpest knife in the drawer they do serve a purpose for our customers who do not have the budget available for something better. The we have the normal Hotpoint machines which we do sell a lot of probably due to the large range of product they have available.

Then our largest growing sector supplier which is Bosch, not only has this increased our ticket price which in turn increases profitability. But we are now able to supply our customers with a quality product with a good guarantee and backup at a resonable price.

Then we have Miele (sorry K 😉 ). This brand is relatively new to us as a retailer and after a slow start we are now placing regular orders for the base to mid priced products. Which again has increased our price per box and our reputation for supplying quality appliances.

In a nutshell we can supply a washing machine to suit every type of customer and budget from £199 to £1099.

We won`t turn anyone away if they want to part with their hard earned cash. After all business is business.

    Hi Jeff

Only two options really a slimline top loader such as the Whirlpool AWE6515 which are 40cm wide, however these are higher than the normal front loaders so they will not go under the worktop. Or there is the Zanussi ZWC1300 compact front loader which a small 3kg load machine at only 50cm wide.

Re: Up to £400 to spend on Built-in Dishwasher – Advice Plea

Up the price a little and go for the Neff S5453X1GB. It`s a good all round machine with a full two year warranty. If you stick with the £400 max you will only be at the budget end of the range with not a long life span. Buy good and get longer life 😉

Looking at it here http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/prod … sku=352780 I would guess that the 1662 is an exclusive to Comet of the 1472 but with the 1600 spin. Whereas the 1682 is from the timeline range with the slightly larger capacity of 7kg.

I take it that ZWD1662 should be the ZWD1682 😉 . Both are good machines. You can compare the two models on the website which will hopefully help you come to a decision.

Or the Bosch WVD24520GB, it has the advantage of having a two year warranty.
