    Hi ciavdivs

    The Belling brand is fine.

Glad you got a good deal and hope it gives you many years of good service.

Yep the new range will be available for the Hotpoint centres to order as from the 1st April. They are also rationalising the range of washers by not producing a 1100 or 1300 spin machine.

The sandstone colour will be phased out during the year and will be discontinued by December due to declining sales nationally.

We have been using a Whirlpool chest freezer in the garage for the last six years now and I must say we hav`nt had any condensation so far even in the coldest of weather, very impressed 😉

With a remake of the price as well, it`s now going to be a slightly different design and spec with a price tag of circa £275 🙄

Just looking at this machine at Currys the model is an exclusive for them only. I had to smile when I saw the “was” price of £299.95 save a massive £100 now.

Rather have a Bosch WFL2067 instead with a two year guarantee for not a lot more than the Whirlpool 😉

No probs. Let us know which one you decide on as others may read this thread with the same questions and can see what the outcome was.

Yep fine same build and technical spec as the others. Slightly better on water consumption. Just a little more refined ie liquid crystal display showing different info through cycle, a mixed load option and economy seven time delay for over night washing on the cheaper electricity tarriff. A good all round family machine

Bosch everytime robbiesangel, the 1000 spin WFL2067 or the 1200 WFO2467. Two year guarantee and good back up. If you can go the extra mile then the Miele W500 has a five year guarantee. These machines last typically for twenty odd years which makes them cheaper in the long term.

    Re: vented tumble dryer recommendations

The Hotpoint VTD00 is probably the best out of those to be fair. they are relatively quiet and spare parts are readily available at a reasonable cost too. Another model to consider is the White Knight 447WV which is made by Crosslee who manufacture in the region of 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the tumble dryers currently on the UK market.
If you can stretch that little bit more then yes the Bosch range.

Any comments on my choices are most welcome. And I’d appreciate any suggestions as well.

    Once again, thank you all

    Laurence.

The Bosch measurements according to their spec and installation guide is 584mm deep however there is a skirting cut out for pipes etc which is 150mm high, however it does not state how far it cuts into machine. if you can get it to fit then it is the better of the three options. Might be an idea if you can see one in the flesh so to speak. Same stable as Neff / Siemens, so two year guarantee and a good backup service available. If the Bosch does not fit then AEG would be my next choice.

Goatboy wrote:The first thing I saw on that site, was a ‘5-star rating’ for an Indesit intergrated washer/dryer, which is the worst piece-of-crud machine on the market! 🙁

A lot of the model numbers on there are now old ie Hotpoint WD64. If you scroll down a little further Gb the Miele which was listed only got a measly two stars and that is also an old model too. For the latest information and all the thousands of years experience this site has to offer look no further 😀

I wonder how many years experience there is on this site between all the trade members? I bet it would be a very large figure 😯

Don`t go too cheap as GB said in one of his previous posts about the makes to avoid.

lbarea wrote:I currently have a Zanussi washer/dryer built-in which has been going strong for 10 years. Still going but I’m going to get a new one before in conks out.

Still stick with the Neff / Siemens or the Miele which over the years will work out cheaper than buying a cheaper model now.

lbarea wrote:I don’t know how the Zanussi is rated but it’s been quite good.

The Zanussi of 10 years ago was in my opinion better than the current models.
