ModeratorThe spec does let it down though. 700w and only 17 litres capacity.
Saying that they will sell bucket loads at that stupid price, yet another fine example of price erosion, cost at factory gate probably about a tenner I would suspect.
The cheapest I can get at cost is £35.00 plus Vat!!don

It was me Jim I was looking at banning but when I tried to carry out the action it wouldn’t let me so I guess you just beat me to it 🙂

ModeratorIt’s worth looking at the Hotpoint version. Build quality is not bad and spares are readily available at a good price.

ModeratorAS you are finding there is very little out there as 55cm is becoming a size of the past. From that list which is as complete as I can think of.
Stoves, Belling and new World are all the same group, Stoves used to be very superior in quality but in recent years this has decreased as price erosion has taken hold, Belling is next best with New World at the bottom of the pile.
Amica is a small budget European brand with not a lot of back up here in the UK.
Which leaves Zanussi which in my opinion is the best of the bunch. John Lewis is the best place for these as they also offer a two year warranty.

all made by same company and spares should be ok
only 12 months guarantee unless they have an offer on
Dave
John Lewis are the main stockists for this group and from them they will come with a two year warranty.

ModeratorI would go for one of the Sebo X series every time for the cleaner around the house. For the car or any decorating needs I would buy a cheap bagless cylinder cleaner. There are plenty on the market around the forty pound mark.

don
ModeratorWhoever had the idea of using the UKW forum appliance logo as the default avatar instead of the silhouette good on you.
don
ModeratorIt would be good to see a PM option 😉

ModeratorIf you measure the appliance freezer door height and divide it into your height of 177 that will give you the split. You are going to struggle to replace it like for like as the width is not the standard 540mm.
If you go through caravan/ mobile home suppliers you will be looking at a high price as it’s a niche product. The only other thing you could consider would be to put a freestanding 55cm wide fridge freezer in there like a Hotpoint HBD5517 however you will lose the “integrated look. “

ModeratorNo not at all Lawrence it was their comms and lack of care which was the issue along with the rubbish spare parts ordering.

ModeratorNot surprised one bit TBH. The service from Repairtech has been dreadful to say the least.
