ParticipantRe: Whirlpool adp962 dishwasher
Am i doing something wrong here?, i just did another search with just “adp962” and two posts came up, one of which made reference to there being info on the fault codes for this model, but i can’t find it, and using the search feature brings up thousands of results.

I didn’t think it was necessary as it was an identical to the replacement.
That board fits at least 16 different models, if you don’t have the config codes I can let you have them.
Jim.
Hi Jim, is it possible to get a copy of those config codes?, i don’t need them yet but it would be great to have the information ready when i do. ThanksDavid

Cheers, i’ll check that out later.
This dishwasher is a mini nightmare, it came from a fellow engineer who’s customer said she could smell burning all the time, she wanted new so i had it as i now have room for a dishwasher. The problems so far are, water leak from sump seal, water leak from salt tank seal, destroyed heater (literally blown apart) and no spay movement from top arm, and she was complaining of a burning smell?? :rolls:David

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint df53
I do Martin, i even fetch one but I’m glad this is my own machine because i would’ve felt a right prat telling the customer that it could be the capacitor at fault and then finding out that one isn’t fitted, the motor has electronics on it but no capacitor anywhere in the wiring loom, i think the only other possibility for the fault might be poor fitting where the top spray arm rear feed rail pushes into the base (just behind the bottom spray arm) should there be a o-ring there? Not looking forward to the next part because to test that thought i’ll need to quickly run it with the door open to see if water evacuates out where it shouldn’t. 😯

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint df53
Well first of all a wm heater will fit this machine if anybody is interested. but now i have another problem, the top spray arm doesn’t rotate, the spray arm is clear of muck and fits correctly onto the rear fitting. The whole sump etc was removed when i fitted a new sump seal so i could check and clear all pipes yet she still doesn’t spray? not had this problem before without it just being muck in the pipes so can anybody help? Many thanks
EDIT: just had a thought, could it be as simple as the capacitor needs replacing?

ParticipantRe: best toolboxes?
I use a large toolbox that has wheels on it( don’t know the make), half price from focus at £15, fits absolutely everything i need into it plus as the toolbox separates into two i can use it to barricade myself into place to stop dogs sniffing my arse 😯 or customers who think it’s a good idea to try and be your apprentice but get in the way and then argue with your diagnostic, i’m sorry am i ranting? bad day

ParticipantRe: Heating stats
If there’s no standard that would explain why in the past i’ve had stats with a red dot, no dot and a white dot all for the high temp. i put it down to manufactures own codes. thanks for the answer.

ParticipantRe: Proline fridge/freezer
Well i went to see this f/freezer today, the door seal is fine and the lady has it on the lowest setting possible but it has a two inch block of ice on the back wall of the fridge. She was given the the machine when it was a week old and it been icing up since day one (18 months ago) the stat does turn the compressor off when you turn it to 0 so i suspect it had a faulty stat since new, any one agree or am i missing something? thanks

ParticipantRe: Proline fridge/freezer
Thanks helo_75. If it was a suspect stat then wouldn’t the freezer be playing up to?, having said that though it’s possible that she hasn’t noticed a problem with the freezer because she expects it to be how it is, Cheers. 🙂
