if a person goes in to some ones house and repairs their gas boiler and charges for it, then a week later the boiler poisons the occupants, that person who repaired it will be prosecuted for manslaughter.
It makes companies and individuals accountableDrDill

Whirl4, it is only your opinion that Repaircare are stealing work!! To be accused of stealing and offence must have been committed! What offence was committed?
Is it my turn to be slapped down is it?
I am entitled to my opinion and as far as i am aware GAS SAFE/CORGI has made the gas industry in this country one of the safest in the world, what is wrong with that?DrDill

must be a bad idea then if you dont want to accomplish it

So why are they not removed imiediatly, this is why many of us previous members did not renew, because like all trade assosiations including WTA, DASA etc, any one can be a member weather ethical, qualified or otherwise.
This is just another reason why i think our trade should be like the Gas Safe and Electrical bodies.

but not illegal or unethical though is it. The repairers have a choice as to doing the work, i dont do this type of call for them.
Who decides who and who cant advertise on DASA, if they are members then it wouldnt be fair to stop them.
We cant have it both ways, we are not a cartel and until something is put in place to police this trade nothing will change.DrDill
ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
repaircare advertising on DASA for work, whats wrong with that? Its most of the guys on here that do the work for repaircare or am i missing something?

If he had to be registered to a trade body, like gassafe, then he could now be prosecuted as he would never pass the tests!

I think some one should have a better read of the sales of goods act 1979 and the sale of goods to consumer legislation 2002.

the professional thing to do is just ring the guy up and arrange to go back, in my opinion every customer is worth keeping as long as they pay, the only ones i am not interested in are the ones that dont want to pay. You cant like every one in this world and a job is money!

The funny thing is the excellent reviews, most think its great, i think they would wet themselves if they had a decent machine!

ParticipantRe: maytag top loader
the current Maytag brochure only shows the two machines i have mentioned, so dont know that other machine, so cant comment

ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
trouble is lee8 its old news you speak about, i was talking to someone recently about repaircare having something in the pipeline, and its possible this has come about because the bean counters have left DSGi and moved on to the next business they are going to make more profitable.
