ParticipantRe: Proline Not heating.- new element.
Cannot see any other stat on this machine ! have removed door lining to check and nothing there.
Traced N side of element back to main switch -continuity there.
Traced phase side through safety stat and then pink wire goes to terminal 1 (green plug) on timer control.
No matter where I put timer I cannot get continuity on any other pin on this timer unit ?
Is the timer purely mechanical ? or is there a relay incorporated inside that is not in circuit due to power off?
Any thoughts????

Ok have bought new safety stat (the one under the element that had failed open circuit) and fitted.
Dishwasher goes through cycle correctly but does not heat the water.
confirm no power at element, new safety stat has continuity. Where do I head to next?
thanks in anticipation.ecogeorge

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Dryer fault
Will check airflow again , but seems good !
What temp do these one-off thermostats fail at? could it not be replaced by a resettable one?
Bought kit of 3 (2 thermostats and 1 sensor) from ———http://www.espares.co.uk/for £34.98 delivered. –slow supply took over 1 wk.
Could not find any spares listed on web to fit model CTD40, do any other model thermostats fit?
Only need the fail safe one -white spot.
Any help / advice / part nos. greatly appreciated.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Dryer fault
Have been looking at a Hotpoint CTD40 condensor dryer for my sister inlaw.
Original fault was lack of heat during drying and quickly traced to failed thermostat (whitespot 1 of 2) beside heating elements.
Dryer filter checked – ok
Condensor fairly well blocked and cleaned.
New thermostats fitted (x2) as well as moisture sensor all as 3 part kit.
Dryer worked fine on low heat, but as soon as high heat selected all heating failed.
The on/off light flashes slowly and the time delay light flashes fast (or it may be vice versa).
Testing again the thermostat(white spot) has failed again despite only a few minutes high heat operation !!
Help !!
Full thermostat kits are £34.98 !!!!

ParticipantRe: Wirlpool ADP5966 – Flashing Start Button
🙁 Sorry to hijack this thread but I have exactley the same problem. My led flashes 2 times then pauses then twice again.
Holding start button for 2 secs causes machine to run drain pump for approx 30 secs.
If another programe is selected and start button held for 2 secs it will very briefly flash the led of the new programe but revert to the normal led!!
Any ideas ? What do 2 flashes mean?
