my advice would be leave alone and let a refrigeration engineer visit.
As all domestic refrigeration works the same in principle apart from a few slight differences with mag valves, pcb, timers and thermostats.
Most engineers will always go for changing the pcb but seasoned refrigeration engineers know that pcb tends to be fairly reliable its nearly always the sensors.Could be restriction but R600a is not supposed to restrict in the classroom but it tends to completly block up.It really depends what you mean by freezing up was it just the fridge side that froze and not the freezer?
If your not sure and it seems that you are not refrigeration based then i would leave alone.

when they brought them out the only problem was the main pcb you could change that.
the heaters was ok but the defrost sensor might be the problem but that cant be replaced.pcb can be replaced and that cured all the ones i went to.

sounds like a low resistance on the elements.
Not enough to blow trip had this on nardi cookers on most occassions heating the cooker up gets rid of the neon illuminating if problem still exists check earth leakage on all elements.

its more than likley the front pcb on these not the main pcb on top.

The door pcb and main pcb talk and the common fault i came accross was always the door display pcb.

They either flicker on the blue lcd dispaly.
    or
Stop working but will work if fast freeze button is press in.

    Hopes this helps

your right on the smegs the chassis bends by changing the door its a temp fix which lasts a month then its back.

Still an issue and will always be an issue the doors are to heavy for that little boneless chassis.

The fuses still blow on the ones wrapped with foam.

All of the ones I have changed have come back my advice would be to not fit the thermal fuse near the heater.

I have moved the thermal fuse upto the area where the connectors are and they have not come back.

Would also advise replacing the sensor as these have been a problem.

you will only get a few seconds of fill time.should be 240v for a few seconds.
Often cause could be heater failure on water feed pipe as it enters ice maker assembly.

If no feed at all to valve all i can say is to replace the main pcb at rear.

had this problem before changed pcb and still problem was there only though was then wiring fault a lovely scrapper but it was a brand new one.

    just a bit bitter.

suppose still proud of being an expert engineer loyal till that last bitter end.

I look at myself as being the best of the best used to be always in the top 10 of my region with first time calls completed.

its a bit scary being your own boss but saying that done 16 jobs this week on a 3 day week after taking van back to depot.

In my area isdar dont want to use me in there postcode catchment but gbdar are using me in there catchment area.

To be honest all you really need for the samsung work are sensors, thermal fuses and fridge pleniums.

They take 10 days to come to me I made sure that I have enough stock to make sure i get first call completion especially when you see how much they cost to buy.

Regas work is pretty none existant only fitted a few compressors you could count them on one hand when working for eac on samsungs.

it seems this acc compressor everybodies fitting it on whirlpool, mieles, merlonis its gone the rounds similar to the hpt compressor a few years ago that everbody used then got stung by high failure rates.

nobodys perfect i must admit that i would have checked the thermal fuse.

I feel though the thermal fuse is in the wrong place.

As this happens on the new rs21.Sensor is ok but fuse o/c.

Best thing would be to replace sensor and the thermal fuse but move the fuse upto the top were the connectors are as in the original position it is strapped onto the heater.

Maybe the original fault was heater open circuit hes refitted the fuse onto the heater and when it came on fuse blows.

You may never know what the original diagnosis was so dont blame all the experts.

The company has gone off line today but there are as many dodgy engineers out there as independants than eac engineers.
