Re: Hotpoint FF200EG buzzes when door is opened

    Hi all

Found the following on the Hotpoint website:

“It is not uncommon, especially on new appliances, to hear certain system noises as the gas within the fridge circulates around the internal pipe work. These noises will often soon diminish and are nothing to be alarmed about.”

“Your modern frost-free appliance utilises a series of internal and external fans during its normal operation so there will be a slight increase in the operating noises. This is quite normal so do not worry if you hear one or two different sounds than those you heard with your old appliance.”

So maybe there is nothing for me to worry about?

    Thanks

Re: Whirlpool AWM336…needs new pump I think

Just had some good news: after checking all our warranty info it turns out that we registered for the Whirlpool 10 year parts guarantee.

I phoned Whirlpool to make sure we wouldn’t get stung for labour, etc and all we pay is £72.50 and that covers all the labour costs until the problem is fixed.

Looks like a good deal so I will go with this option unless anyone knows of a reason not to?

    Thanks

    Hi

It’s not any noisier, it’s always done it.

It’s probably best to get them out.

    Thanks

    Thanks for quick reply.

It sticks as in the dial gets to a certain point (usually a or b) and then all that happens is that the drum just fills and drains as if it is at start of the cycle (good job we’re not an a water meter).

If I manually jog dial on it kicks back into life.

Tonight I had to mess around for ages to even get the washer to go past the fill cycle.

    Thanks

    Nick

Thanks for your help, that’s great!

I just wish the user guide was more of an, urm, user guide 😉

    Thanks again!
