Re: Indesit IDL530 Not washing/heating up

    Hi iadom
Thanks again for the info. It was the Control PCB and I wasted £40 ish on the heater element – I could have bought a tester for that! 😳

    Best regards

Re: Indesit IDL530 Not washing/heating up

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. No I don’t own a tester but do know how to use one. In my experience, with respect, you don’t have to be a brain surgeon to mend most houshold appliances. Experience as to the cause of the problem is a great help which is why this forum is so good! None of the engineers I have used actually repair anything – they replace faulty parts and I can do that once I locate it!

In this case the element showed signs of scorching so I replaced that first. I know I have wasted a little money doing so, but if I replace the Control PCB too I still won’t have spent anywhere near as much as an engineer would have cost me.

Thanks again for your time and help with this excellent forum & site.

Many thanks for the prices – looks like a new oven is on the cards.
Thanks again for the help from everyone.

    Re: AEG oven switches off

    Hi
Thanks for your reply. The top oven & grill do still work. We had a local Appliance Engineer look at it but as it is an intermitent fault and they could not make it cut out (even when they took it away & had it running in their workshop for a considerable time). Eventually they replaced 3 x TOC but the oven still switches off occasionally and usually at the most inconvenient time.

Are the Control Panel and Relays so expensive that the better option is to replace the oven (I could not locate the prices for these parts on the site myself)?

    Best regards

Re: AEG Oven turning itself off

    Hi
I have the same problem with an AEG Competence Double Oven. My main oven switches off like others in this forum but it is a Model D81000M which is not listed in the recommended part. Am I correct in thinking the part I need is 3117523062 Thermostat.
    Hope you can help.

I have started another thread in case this a different oven.

    Thank you.
