Only if it was found not to be the appliance at fault.
The other thing that is odd is why the noise would stop when you open the door 😕 that would suggest to me that the model number you have given is incorrect and you infact have a frost free appliance 😕

A conventional, non electronic reliable fridge freezer usually.
The two models either /01 made in Feb 07 or /02 made in March 07
How can you be just out of guarantee
You have 2 year guarantee aswell

If the low flame of the burner is going ALL the way across, then I would say that the FSD (a safety device) or gas tap are at fault.
As this is a gas appliance you will of course need a suitably qualified engineer to address this for you.

This beast has two water matrixes and the only problems I have had with this type were –
1/ Broken wire/s in the door loom at the bottom of the door bend
2/ Worn microswitch/s on either water matrixes.
3/ Gunge in metering hose
4/ Aquastop activated or faulty
5/ Burnt out or charred connections on the door microswitch
