ParticipantRe: Another joke.
Guts and Balls -The Distinction
We’ve all heard about people having guts or balls. But do you really know the difference between them?
In an effort to keep you informed, the definition for each is listed below…
GUTS – is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: “Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?”
BALLS – is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: “You’re next.”
I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome since both ultimately result in death.

ParticipantRe: Removing fan on Neff U1721
Hi
Best way is to remove the locking washer then, stop spindle from turning somehow without damaging thread; unless you are changing motor then it won’t matter 😀
Once you have done that, start spinning vigorously the fan round and round, back and forth until it releases/detaches from the shaft, then pull off.
Make sure as per, that you have powered off the appliance first.Greg

ParticipantRe: Unbeatable rates, no call out charge!
IMHO, engineers that do estimates for a few quid are not only doing themselves down but also cheapening the whole trade. This is probably why this trade is the only one that doesn’t get the recognition and respect it deserves. We are multi skilled and most of us have to work on a variety of makes with no manuals or technical backup, unlike other trades.
We deserve every penny we get and the sooner we respect our abilities and trade, then the sooner the WPs may finally recognise this also and start reflecting that in the pittance that some offer.

ParticipantRe: Admiral F/F Ice cubes not making correctly
I suspect the flap that opens to allow the cubes to exit is not fully closing.
If this is the case then you will need a few spares and I would urge you to get a price and use an engineer as this is can be quite a tricky repair.Greg
