Re: So, what are the new Miele’s like?

Now have patented honey comb drums for optimum garment protection and also the fronts don’t hinge anymore, but they do come off to gain access as usual with miele. Still solid and built like a brick shit house, with less electronics in them, mainly one board in fascia.

Just a thought and sometimes overlooked; is the clock set and on manual (hand symbol) as this would render circotherm oven dead.

Sorry Jim, there was no more info forthcoming.
If you looking for a replacement, the Bosch are reasonable machines and have 2yr parts and labour included.

Re: Hotpoint DF61 D/W heater box leak?

Its infra red and transmitter and receiver are on a pcb in an C shape with the sensors at the tips. The unit is then are pushed home into that housing and a beam goes through a transclucent part of housing through water and back to receiver.
Thats as best I can remember, Im sure Boro will put me right, he usually does 😉 😆

I would be looking at a heating problem. Unplug appliance before investigating :plug:

    Hi
I would check— pressure system for gunge, pressure switch for correct activation, microswitches in water tank on l/h/s,broken wires in door loom and recirc motor feed voltage and start relay next to it.

    Hi Ian
With the appliance unplugged :plug: have you checked the base (under the tank) for water thus activating the float?. Remove lid and the sides to gain access.
