ParticipantRe: Bosch Fridge Freezer Problem
Considering the appliance is 12years old, its done remarkably well, well I think so anyway.
The foamed in sensor is none repairable and only a replacement PCB will rectify (263782) approx £100 +VAT. Try the links below depending on ability. The quality of the appliance compared to todays, is far more substantial, but at the end of the day the decision is yours.

A look at the brushes couldn’t hurt. Failing that, may I suggest you use the link below for an engineer to confirm problem.

ParticipantRe: Bosch gsu3101GB/01 standalone freezer problem
Could be numerous things as its frost free.
This hot weather is causing havoc with refrigeration at the moment.
You could try giving it a 24 hour defrost and see what transpires after a week. If problem re-occurs I would strongly suggest an engineer visit, try the link below.Greg

ParticipantRe: Bosch HBN43055OB FAULT
Have you checked the terminals at both ends, power off at fuse box feed.
If all that is fine you have checked as much as you can I think.
Try the link below for an engineer.Greg

ParticipantRe: Fairy Active Bursts
This is the “blurb” from Bosch”
3 in 1 detergent detection function
If combined detergent products (for example 3 in 1) are used, a bad drying result is obtained. In order to improve the drying function, a special program sequence with less water in the interim rinse cycles is started.
The rinse aid temperature is increased by 3 K for the 3 in 1 detergent detection function (as for intensive drying). With the saved water the heat exchanger in the dryer is filled a second time to improve the drying.
The special program sequence is activated if:
the electronics detect low rinse aid
the rinse-aid refill indicator is deactivated
The “intensive drying” additional function can still be selected, but it has no effect on the rinse-aid temperature.
The maximum temperature increase is 3 K.3 in 1 detergent
3 in 1 detergents have a range of use up to a water hardness of 21°cH (37°fH, 26°Clarke, 3,7mmol/l). It is not necessary to activate the water softening device up to 21°dH.
If the water hardness is more than 21°dH, the water softening device must be activated and the water hardness range must be adjusted to step 6.HTH

Another superb article again in ERT. UKW…… “The Lion goes from strength to strength”; If only some motor company hadn’t used it, how apt it would be 😀
