If drain was blocked it wouldn’t affect the fridge only if the freezer was choked up with ice.

Sounds like a major strip down of sump hose and drain system to remove all traces of blanket debris.
Unplug before attempting any of this.

Hi
What I would do is give it a 24hour defrost.
If the problem re occurs in a say a wekk you will know if there is a fault with the appliance.
The orientation of the wires to the sensor are not important.Greg

To add to Mr P’s post, we would need to know what make the motor is in order for you to obtain the correct type as there were two types fitted to some of that model, also can you give the full enr eg WFF2000GB??/?? so we can be sure.
Un plug appliance before attempting the mission.

Hi sunny
These appliances are quite sophisticated in many ways, I would seek an engineer from link below to be honest.Greg

Hi
Pre wash lamp flashing suggests a fault with the motor turning for whatever reason.
Power off before investigating further. If you are in any doubts please use the link below to find an engineer and make someones day 😀

Exactly, Martin.

Which I must say they are having unfortunately.
I don’t think either there should be secrets of which members are showing unrest, otherwise it undermines the trust and honesty that should exists between mods and site admin, in my opinion.
It looks at the moment to me that they are using Martin as a pawn hoping he won’t breach their confidence and thus making them think they have an advantage over us lot in here. A dangerous game me thinks.
Thats what I think anyway I may be wrong but I doubt it. Its shame cos its only a few by the sound of it.Greg 😀
