Yes Bob you are correct . I was used to doing them in warranty so we more or less had carte blanche. I would imagine weak spring in door catch to be problem in all fairness.

Oh and they leak after a while from dispenser. Hot fill on certain washes damages it, only repair is to replace dispenser. Not cheap appliances either.

world wrote:hi mate when you put the outer part of the tacho back in,was the inner piece still in the motor ?? as these bits come out as well!!!!!! it is always the tacho from my experience…

I had forgotten about that; nice one “world”. Its the round magnet (usually cream in colour) and screws onto rear of motor an dthen tacho coil goes over it and secured by star washer.
    BTW welcome aboard world 😉

The difference between guts and balls

Guts – is arriving home late after a night out with the lads, being assaulted by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: “Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?”

Balls – is coming home late after a night out with the lads, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the a*se and having the balls to say – “You’re next fatty.”

    Re: another joke.

A young couple were in their honeymoon suite
on their wedding night. As they undressed for bed,
the husband, who was a big burly bruiser, tossed his
pants to his bride and said, “Here, put these on.”

She put them on and the waist was twice the size
of her body. “I can’t wear your pants,” she said.

“That’s right and don’t forget it,” said the husband.
“I’m the man in this family.”

With that, she flipped him her panties and said,
“Try these on.” He tried them on and found he could
only get them on as far as his kneecaps.

He said, “Hell, I can’t get into your pants.”

She said, “That’s right, and that’s the way it’s
going to be until your damn attitude changes!”

It only started production in 2002???

If its this appliance I think you need a repair set for the runners that attach to the inner sides of the appliance.
    Repair Kit – 169467

See spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for more info and :plug: as always before working on appliance

Aha I see, I am sure Kevins comments were purely comparative. I will look out for further fun in the future, bearing in mind we are engineers and in the words of Basil Fawlty ” That particular avenue has been closed”
