I wouldn’t think that small amount of play would cause so much vibration TBH.
So IMO, it leaves either earth leakage or PCB fault.Thats all I can think of at the moment, maybe some of the other guys may be able to add more or tell me if Ive missed anything 😉

Hi
New brushes app 1.5″ in length.
IIRC on this machine they are hidden away as it were inside the motor end cap.
Pop your full model number up off the appliance WFK2801**/** so I can be sure 😀Greg

A gem of a machine this one.
Built like a tank, anyway down to problem 😉
It may be worth checking the motor brushes for wear as worn brushes can upset the distribution cycle before the spin resulting in incorrect balancing of clothes.
Earth leakage, tacho on motor faulty or module can all be suspects.
If in doubt, please feel free to use the repairs@ link on the left.
Power off before attempting any work on this lovely old girl 😉Greg

SuffolkLad wrote:Also, I’m not sure where to find the heater element to check its resistance.
With the power off, remove the lid and the r/h panel.
If you look in the exposed side at the bottom, you will see the heater at the rhs.
Resistence should be approx 20-30 ohms.Greg

Ok, as diplomatic as I can be this is what Ive sent him.
Hi there
Your input to UKW is very much appreciated but on occassions you can be a tad blunt.
I know we all have bad days and the punters on here are annoying but we as professionals have to maintain that level and bite our lips sometimes (god knows Ive had to )
If we are to keep the interest of the site up, we can’t be seen as unapproachable, you get my driftRegards
Greg
Hope thats ok 😀

ParticipantRe: Bosch fan oven element replacement – HBN7050GB01
Heres what I do…..
I remove nut and collar (obviously :rolls:
Then I squirt a sensible amount of WD40 or equivalent onto the protruding shaft.
Carefully grab the shaft with pliers (watch the thread) then whilst keeping hold of shaft wiggle the fan vigorously from left to right until its released enough to pull off 😉Greg
