Re: Indesit WIL153 Simply Stopped Working !

Cheers, bang on with your diagnostics. Just removed motor and brushes from motor, they are done / finished.

I’ll get a new set ordered tonight and hopefully got enough clean clothes left to last until they arrive !!

    Thanks again,

    Graeme

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for quick reply.

I checked the connection (with a coil & couple of cap’s) and can’t see any issue there.

Re: Fill Time for a Dishwasher ?

    Problem Solved.

Bought a new machine, another Bosch as this one seemed to have died aged 14years old.

Strange thing with this one, there was no power chord with it. There was a socket on the rear of it, a bit like the one on the back of a kettle, but bosch’s own unique style.

Turns out the cable had “fallen out of the packaging” at the shop, so picked it up the next day.

Dishes nice a clean again ! Old machine off to the recycling centre !!!!

Thanks again to all who helped.

Re: Fill Time for a Dishwasher ?

    Hi,

The heater is working fine, I tried to run a couple of wash cycles and found that the machine would do the following:
    (on Econemy Wash 65’C)
    1) Firstly the drain valve opens and water drains from the sump.
    2) Water fills and circulates as normal
    3) Water heats up and continues to circulate as normal, dishes certainly do clean up.
    4) From here on, the machine just continues to circulate the water, never drains, keeps heating the water, and nevers stops.
After 3 hours, I turned the machine off, selected a different program such as Prerisnse cold, and started the machine.
It would at this point drain the water from the sump and continue to cirulate the water for x hours, where x is related the amount of time I leave it switched on.

Do I have a duff programmer or is there something else that triggers the next step of the cycle ?

I think the energy company will look forward to our next bill !!!!

Can anyone tell me the cycle time of the 6 washes on this machine ???

    Pre-rinse wash
    Superwash 65′
    Normal Wash 65′
    Economy wash 65′
    Ecomomy wash 50′
    Quick Wash 40′

    Cheers,

    Graeme.

Re: Fill Time for a Dishwasher ?

    Hi,

Bought a filler valve from UKWHITEGOODS, tried same test as before and got 4.5Litres in a minute, quite a considerable improvement !!

Machine now fills, heats, and swirlls the water around as normal, left the machine running at 10pm, expecting it to finish around 10:30pm, but the following morning at 8am it was still full of water and swirling about.

I am just about to go round to check that I have re-connected everything, (pretty sure I did, as I took a note of everything that i removed).

    Any ideas ?

Re: Fill Time for a Dishwasher ?

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies. The pressure inlet to the machine is great as i meantioned in the original message, it would fill a 5L bucket in less than a half a minute.

Looks like the problem is the inlet valve from the comments that I have received.

However, the float switch sticking is probably the reason for the heater kicking in when the machine was nearly empty of water.

Would I need to buy this whole assembly ?

Re: NEFF B1430 oven failed with a bang

At least you will have got the turkey cooked – just as well it didnt fail a few days earlier.

Sounds like the element fail has caused a spike that has taken out the electronic control unit.

Not sure about the price for this, can any one else help ?

Re: Siemens Oven Slow To Heat

    Hi,

How difficult is it to get a part for an oven ??? 🙁

Got a part number off a guy called penguin45, emailed his contact at spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk but no reply – that was 5 days ago !!!!

Couldn’t find the element or the fan on any web site, so emailed 7 of them with my request for quote for the element and the fan. Got mixed response.

For your info, here are my responses…….

support@ukapplianceparts.com Good price for fan 😀 , expensive for element
elementman@btconnect.com Great price for element 😀
sales@elerep.co.uk Got a reply, but not stock
    info@easyspares.co.uk No Reply 🙁
    spares@whitegoods.co.uk No Reply 🙁
    sales@elements4u.co.uk No Reply 🙁
    enquiries@sparesfrhome.co.uk No Reply 🙁

Quite disappointing that so many did not reply – that is now 5 days since I sent out the emails.

Anyway, element arrived from elementman and fan arrived from ukapplianceparts. Thanks to them for their great service.

Re: Siemens Oven Slow To Heat

    Hi,
Further info, I have just taken a torx driver to the oven and found there is a rear element and it is burst. The fan, however, is rated at 35W but can be stopped very easily. Think I need new fan as well as new element.
