ParticipantMajor issues with the heating elements failing on the newer type ones! Worst part is getting them out because of the silly design of feet/deco door hanging, and changing the stupid door opener is rediculous

I’m pretty certain the whole multiflow comes as one piece with the air valve in it

Thanks for the reply Dave,it’s the type shown above,
My first suspect was the drain pump,it’s not a pump I’ve come across before,I took it off and stripped it all down, found a very small piece of what looked like shredded plastic around the impeller,it spins very freely if you turn it by had,no inertial required to turn it,what you have said makes sense as the appliance kind of pulses a little, makes some very strange noises indeed, the module sounds like it’s struggling too with relays clicking and whatnot, what baffles me tho is I filled it manually and it drained the water no problemgreedy
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMG 823
Worth a try I guess!

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMG 823
Sounds like the module still thinks there is water in the pressure chamber, sometimes they need to be reprogrammed to reset this

ParticipantRe: hotpoint C00272690
There are a couple of boards fitted to this model, all will need a smart card to program them, all come blank

Thanks also, this is what’s pickled me a bit really, googling the fault suggested dryer elements but it certainly passed its ir ok,it makes no sounds at all just sits there as if the door hasn’t been closed, being able to select a program and watch the display change accordingly tells me the pcb is working as it should be too…
It’s plugged into a wall socket, fed off one of those horrid multi gang switch type things usually found in fancy flats(it’s on the 7th floor!) I beginning to wish I’d checked the socket first nowgreedy
ParticipantRe: Electrolux ewd1409l
Thanks for this! I’ll give that a try and zap the elements also when I return, would diconnecting the dryer element allow the machine to complete a wash do you think?worth a try I guess
Once again many thanks it’s giving me a head ache this one I just need to know now what it is!

ParticipantRe: why cant they make them like this anymore ?
Did a Hotpoint v4 the other day only about 18mnths old,bra wire causing dead short from element to cabinet, removed, tested all working no damage to anything, the new ones just removing the elements cause them to fall apart!same old design from the past working well

ParticipantRe: Indesit IS70C Condenser issues
Pull out condenser, remove side panel (left panel if you look from the front)and shine a torch inside where the condenser should be, put your hand in too and remove any sludge, the hole is very small and doesn’t take much to block it

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WDPG 8640 intermittent F01
I’d suspect the module more than anything, never seen a fault on these motors other than being loud due to wear
