Thanks. If I can save a call out for now it would be better.

I don’t recall seeing this light on in the 3 years we have had the oven. This relates to the temperature knob top right of the top panel.
When it’s off, it glows pale dark red which can only be seen in the dark.No heat is emitted from the elements on the roof of the mini oven.

When the fan knob is turned together with this temperature knob, it shines bright red as it should and is ON.

Perhaps it has been like this for years and we have never noticed.

Spimps…too many sangrias or just plain old jet lag ? :king: It is a frost free freezer so no fridge bit. It’s in the utility room. I much prefer Special K !

Hmmm…perhaps all you refrigeration guys are on a sunny beach somewhere. :rolls:
Anyway, the new parts are in place. I think it is still running alot although it does have periods of quiet and the temp is stable. Can anybody still left in the country advise whether there is another fault to be fixed. If it was in my kitchen the constant hum would drive me barmy.
    Many thanks.

    Re: Bosch WTV74103 Vented Dryer

Hello NomadPaul and thanks for reply.

I have to answer No to all those three. This morning the dryer worked perfectly again. The problems were yesterday after doing two Extra Dry loads for however long the cycle takes. The third load was a load too far. I put the washing in, shut the door, turned the knob to Extra Dry, the dryer started then after a couple of minutes the drying and end lights flashed together and the dryer stopped. I tried again but the same thing happened.

So you see why I was a little reluctant to get an engineer out if he came and couldn’t see it misbehaving

    Re: Bosch WTV74103 Vented Dryer

I did at one stage phone for an engineer to come take a look but was put off by the girl telling me that ,if no fault was found, I would be liable to pay for the call out. I thought about for a few days and then, as it seemed to be OK, I phoned to cancel.

In my troubleshooting guide it doesn’t actually tell you what these lights flashing together means. Also I have noticed a sort of buzzing /vibration noise coming from the grille area at the bottom with each rotation of the drum.

That’s why I thought I would pick your brains first before taking the next step which is to get it checked out under the warranty.

If it says that you can check the progress of the washing in my instruction book then I assume that it is not detrimental to the procedure. Us ladeees like to remove certain items in a mixed load lest they get too dry for our liking. Some items are better to iron if they are not too dry.

Re: Bosch WFL 2450 Water remaining in fab conditioner dispen

I’ll remember that for next time Penguin. Thanks ! At the moment it seems to be working fine again. It just goes to show that no matter how clean it all looks, mould is lurking unseen 😯 . Always be prepared (as they say) with a cable tie. If you don’t buy anything else get a packet of these 😀 Invaluable !!

OK. I poked about with the cable tie , used the plant spray and did 4 rinses and a big bit of black mould came down. There’s still more water in the dispenser than usual but it’s much better . I’ll have another go tomorrow.

I’m not sure that I would know what to do with the lid Penguin.Do you mean the lid of the machine itself or the roof of the soap box ?

Hi Penguin. I’ve just poked about the holes in the roof with a cable tie incase there’s a bit of gunge behind that I can’t see. I’ve put it on a rinse…..hang slack I’ll go and take a look now.

Yep…have done all that. I’m thinking that there is some fault with the water shutting off. Perhaps it keeps going when it shouldn’t. I did use that HG mould spray on the roof of the soap box but I can’t see that would do it. 😕

Is there any advantage in using this product over a 90 degree wash with biological powder ? I don’t actually have a visible problem and do regular maintenance washes. I know…I’m a good girl me 😆

You never disappoint me Penguin. I would have no problem in being tea monitor for you lovely boys !!! although I am a little worried about what our Gegsy has been up to 😯

Thanks for that info. If only they explained it simply like you ( and I even understand all the differentials) it would make the customer’s life easier. I can’t be doing with all these new fangled grids and hints in the instruction booklet . :taz: Just state the facts Bosch !!
