Re: Help. Quick !!Tall Frost free freezer recommendations pl

Hi Don. Yes we decided to go for the John Lewis own brand tall upright frost free freezer JLFZW1806 (£499) with 3 year warranty plus 2 extra years for £70. Quite frankly after all the hassle we have had with the Kyoto (by the way it’s started working again now…but it’s still going 👿 ) we wanted it to last at least 5 years with no more outlay. I think it is made by Electrolux (” with all the good bits taken fom other appliances”…what a sales pitch..I nearlyPMSL !. It’s coming Friday so the neighbours have my food in their freezer for a bit longer 😆

Thanks for your prompt response Simon. I have never had an Electrolux appliance. How would you rate them for reliability?

Not the same fault but I had a problem with my Bosch larder fridge freezing the food on the lower shelves. When the BSH guy came out he said there was a fault with the thermostats and I wasn’t the only one he had been to. He replaced it and it’s been working fine since.

    Re: Kyoto KU96FF leaking

Well the approved repairer rang but he said that he didn’t think it could be fixed as he thought it was due to the insulation breaking down inside the cabinet. Does that sound right?

Thanks Dave. I am awaiting a call from one of your approved repairers in my area. Can you tell me why I had the problem with the external pipe freezing over on fast freeze?

Re: Universal pan for Bosch Double Oven HBN 13M560B

😳 I started a new topic on the same oven as the thread “Bosch or Stoves” and forgot to say it was the HBN 13M560B. Sorry.

Also just noticed a small hairline crack on the grey backplate of the top oven at the bottom. Is this significant?

    Re: Bosch or Stoves ?

😥 I know Matkins. I was hoping that somebody could point me in the right direction. I’m used to cooking stuff in the middle of the oven on 200C and knowing how long it will take. So it’s off to Tesco now for cake ingredients :rolls:

    Re: Bosch or Stoves ?

Hello peeps. Well my new oven is installed. Dinner was a bit scary what with trying to work out temperatures and timings. Although my old Stoves was a fan oven, I did keep to the conventional temperatures e.g 200C. Does anybody have any experience of the temperatures for my new fan oven HBN13M560.I know it is a case of trial and error and numerous batches of fairy cakes 😆 I’m a bit wary of dropping the temperature incase my food isn’t cooked. What is the rule of thumb for converting conventional temperatures to fan oven equivalents? Come on you guys. you must do a bit of cooking at home :rolls:
