As a married man of almost 40 years I am speaking from experience. :rolls:
I have a recent SEBO X4 Extra, thankfully the wife loves it. 8)
Nothing will come close to the performance of a Sebo X4. The cylinders with power heads will be OK, but not quite on a par with uprights.
The Extra has a long hose so she must be pulling it too hard so it falls over.
My Mrs. to be loves our Sebo’s and my Mum (hardest woman to please in the world!) loves hers………probabley because I bought them for her!
Oliver.
PS. Nice signature Jim!!

A Sebo X4 Extra. A BS36 is too harsh for certain types of domestic carpet. 😉
Either way nothing can out perform a Sebo, the cylinder machines are excellent too!

quickwash wrote:Start with 25ml of powder as used by Oliver (Higher-water-level) who lives in a soft water area and reports that his ‘dirty work clothes’ are still washed properly. There is a thread on here but i dont know how to do that quote thingy :rolls:, I will post on it and bring it up to the front 😆
As i have mentioned before, i live in a hard water area and i only use 55ml of powder and my sons (mechanic) oily work clothes are washed much, and i mean much, better than in my previous machine using 135ml of powder!
HTH
quickwash :plug:
I use 25ml for normal soiling, coloureds and whites.
Bedding and work clothes get 60ml, because of skin creams on bedding, my work stuff gets covered in allsorts and 60ml fetches them up a treat!
Bear in mind though that I only was hot. Whites / Coloureds and Bedding are all washed on Colour/White 60oC and my work stuff is washed on Colour/White 95oC.
The Asko is very detergent sensitive so treading carefully for a few washes pays dividends. 😀
A read of my thread that Jim has linked to will help you. You might want to ignore the last few posts!! That was a bit of fun and not relevent to anything, and before I get accused of being rotten to quickwash, I know her so its fine!! 😀
Oliver. 😀

quickwash wrote:Hi guys,
I live in a hard water area and i am only using 55ml of powder with superb results, the recommended amount is 135ml!
So if you live in a soft water area you can reduce the amount even further, down to 25ml in Brighouse, West Yorkshire apparently 😀
I would presume yours machines are suffering over-foaming if you are using the recommended dosage by the manufacturers, if i, in my hard water area, can reduce my powder so much and still have excellent results 😀

Best wishes to all,

I wonder where you got that from eh, quickwash………. 😆

Yes I think you have made a good descision buying the Miele. My Mum has a Miele Little Giant PW6065 commercial as she too does alot of washing and it is excellent. It did cost over £3000 though!

qb wrote:Need to replace antique Servis washing machine (£280 in 1985) and tumble dryer (£150 in 1983).
Tumble dryer needs to stack on washing machine, so I think that rules out a condensing tumble dryer.
Possibilities are
Zanussi ZWG5125 + ZDE67550W – around £520
Bosch WAE24366GB + WTV74105 – around £640
AEG L64840L + T35850 – around £730Comments/suggestions please.
Well the price you have quoted from your old machines should tell you that the choices you are looking at aren’t going to last that long. 😉 Think about inflation etc. 😀
Zanussi and AEG are the same Electrolux machines.
Quickwash has made the best suggestion, the ISE10 is brilliant, got one myself!!
Oliver.
