Helo 75 – very funny :rolls:

Oh well if you are an engineer we will put you to good use then!!

Is there anywhere I could get a pump for a Siltal BI 1000X H/C, I have got the old one going but may need a new one in the future, could last 5 days could last 5 years who knows! I have tried local washer shops etc, no body has heard of Siltal, no doubt you have! 🙂

Just cleaned the machine with Affresh washing machine cleaner and seems to have helped the pump, very good stuff highly recommended 😀 .

    Thanks in advance
    😉

    Helo 75

If you read my profile you will find out a bit about me!! 😆

As for the pressure switch problem I can only advise because the self same thing happened to friend of mine. I had a look and found the pressure switch was full of s***!! Turns out i was right and the washer was repaired, I am trying to mislead nobody.

The reason I cannot be right 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time is I am a DIY washer repairer as when something goes wrong in this house money is very tight so have no choice but to do things myself. Also my father is the same always repairing things himself, he gave me a good grounding. Just thought I would give some friendly help to someone who needs it!! 😀

I have kept my Mums 8 year old Siltal running and even serviced the pump the other day, also keep my 15 year old Bosch running! 🙂

Incedentally what do you do for a living and have you ever made a mistake ❓ I’m not trying to be offencive here!!

    All the best

Off that large curly black hose there is a thin black hose, not curly, straight across from your red arrow, that leads to the pressure switch, the rectangular bottle at the rear of the machine (just next to the fill valves). If the thinner hose has a blockage that should be the problem! 🙂
Also make sure the large black curly hose is clean as well!

    Re: Servis M6011-1 user instructions

    Hi Steve

Probably quite hard to come by, Servis went bust not that long back 😥 .

You could try eBay or this is a long shot but possibly a back street retailer, eg your local washer repairer, we have one just up the road called the Washer Shop. 🙂

    Re: Whirlpool AWO D049 problem

Remove the top of the washer and the pressure switch is located at the front of the tank (outer drum) at the top. Should look like a little plastic bottle with a black rubber pipe on!

    Hi

Have you tried the pressure switch, if this is blocked the machine will think it is not draining the water out. So it thinks the pump filter is blocked :rolls: !

If not could be a PCB problem, but hopefully not 😕 .

Hope this is some help to you

When I say no new machine will rinse as well as my old one I mean it uses a lot more water to rinse eg. 1/3 up the door and it does 4. I will give you the challenge of naming a machine that puts water that high up the door that you could buy today 😆 .

Even with rinse plus the water will not go that high up the door, as most machines you cannot even see the water on the rinse cycle 😥 .

I have even had this backed up by a washer repair man with 30 years in the business. There is even a blog dedicated to this problem, there are countless people who have a problem with the rinsing of modern washing machines!

I’m not trying to offend here but washing machines do not rinse as well as they used to 🙁 .

It’s the old story, you can’t have your cake and eat it.

    Hi K

Couldn’t have put it better myself!!
You are not wrong about the long cycle times, this is true on the Hotpoint 2 hours for a 40 cotton wash with 2 rinses, but the Siltal is less than 1 hour with 3 intensive rinses! The Bosch is 1h 15m for a 40 cotton, also this includes 4 rinses 1/3 up the door, in other words proper ones!!

    All the best 😉

    Hi Paolo

It might be worth getting your old Bosch repaired as the new Bosch machines are not as well built as they used to be!

I know this because I have a 15 year old Bosch WFF2000 and it is FAR better built than the modern ones, also easier to repair – very simple. Your old Bosch will also rinse much better than any new washing machine available today!! 🙂

    All the best

The wash does complete the full cycle, but takes twice as long.
Is there an easy fix – circuit board…!
Or is it time say good bye?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Markr

    Hi Mark,

Just a guess but I know a bit about Bosch machines, having one myself-a 15 year old one! 😀 Does the machine have a “wash plus” button or “intensive” button? If so has it been pressed by mistake? ❓ This option can double the length of cycle times.

    Hope this helps you,

    Oliver.

    Hi Graham

No, these machines just simply do not use enough water as they have gone too far up the road of being environmentally friendly!! 👿
