Thanks Greg
Was hoping to get the spider on its own! The drum shouldn’t have any corrosion, I hope!
I feel this washer is well worth putting money in to! 🙂
With VAT that makes it £214.00, thats the cheapest I have found!Thank you again

Thanks Jim.
I’ve seen the drum with spider attached for £250 plus, thats rediculous! I want it as a spare as my machine is about 15 years old, bought second hand and when I got it was seriously gunked up. My feeling are there will be some corrision to the spider, and if they stop making them in the future I am stuffed! :rolls:
Have cleaned the machine with Affresh cleaner, so at least it is clean.
Also if I have to replace the bearings will I also have to change the bearing cross as well? Never done a Bosch before, But I want to keep this machine running the rinsing is perfect and cycle times short!! 🙂
Thanks
😉

I hate to say it but good quality and budget cannot be put in the same sentence! If you buy a “budget” appliance chances are it won’t last! :rolls:
Avoid Hotpoint (Merloni appliances) they are absolute pants, the electrics often go, especially PCBs. From experience I bought a Hotpoint washer at £500 it lasted 2.5 years and the timer and PCB went. I now have a Bosch and the quality difference is amazing. 😯

Bosch are good, the more expensive £400 end (The ones made in Germany).
If you could run to it Miele are the VERY best!

Hi Jim
Thats funny my 2 Year old Hotpoint was like that until it packed up (another story, hence my signature!!), but a Siltal integrated washing machine is over – ridden by the thermostat dial setting, you can have a 95 wool wash if you want. Before you ask the machine has been like this for 8 years when it was new! 😉

Your welcome 😉
Oliver
PS. Programme 9 should end with a slow spin as it is a special programme for cotton with some sort of special finish. From what I can see in order to do that you would have to select “Spin delay”(rinse hold) and manually put on a synthetic slow spin or it will do a fast spin! The Servis Quartz had this programme and it ended with a slow spin. Unless you have any very old items prog. 9 will not be used at all today. Sorry I forgot to add this 😳

Hi
The prewash looks like it will automatically be followed be programmes one and nine (Boil wash). You would probably have to manually stop it if you wanted to use a prewash for any other programme. 😕 Also a synthetic prewash, but only useable with the following programme, unless you manuallly adjust the knob to the desired programme after the prewash has completed. :rolls:
Correct about 1-9 you have to manually select the temperature.
No programme 8……..
Programme 8 is for machine washable Silk, printed acetates and other delicate items (30 degree delicate wash). This is out of the user manual for a 25 Year old Servis Quartz 1000, this is the last place I saw 8.This is an odd machine as the numbers correspond to garment care labels or they did. Let me explain, what used to be prog 4 ie a 50 degree synthetic wash is now a little bucket with a 50 inside with one bar underneath. So the fact you machine has both on is very strange, if it is 4 years old.
The care labels changed from numbers to symbols about 15 years ago.HTH

i wouldnt waste my money on ANY beko appliance.. not a penny, nor would i throw money away on a hotpoint/merloni thing
Helo is right Beko are cheap, nasty crap!! Im not even starting on Merloni, had a £500 Hotpoint washer 2 and a half years service. Got a Bosch now, a million times better in the quality dept!!!
Beko are built to a budget, a very tight budget be it a washer, dishwasher, cooker it doesn’t matter if the quality isn’t there it will not last unless you get the 1 good in 10000000! :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: Oven cleaner
I have used Mr Muscle and found it to be very good, but the oven was not the bad!! Also used an industrial degreaser (that I cannot name for safety reasons, deadly pink stuff) and that worked but not as well as you might expect! 😯 Also this is what they use in commercial kitchens.
Also have a Polti steam cleaner and that works better than any chemical, but Polti’s are VERY expensive! 😉 Messy job though, goes everywhere! :rolls:

What about the ISE AW23 For £469.99 with 5 year warranty or £399.99 with a 2 year warranty? 🙂
I am not a washer engineer but these appliances are built to last and are easily repairable, excellent machines! 😉
