    Re: Servis M6002

    Yes it is.

Servis technical info states 530001500 is the correct part number.

Also if you source from qualtex INT41 will fit as we fit this part to the M6002 machine

    Re: Tech info

I have to say indespoint, I’m with the MODS on this one. If Indesit Company had wanted this info in the public domain for the customer to access I am sure they would have put it in the handbook.

They choose not to for a reason and only they know why. I am sure that had the request come from a bonefide trader whom had been checked out by the site admin persons, the post would have remained in tact. but as it wasn’t ….

Re: Qualtex selling spares online at trade prices!!

I think the point here is the original poster says Qualtex selling spares online at trade prices and they are not. This is an indivdual selling spares sourced from Qualtex.

It appears the seller has simply uploaded to froogle, the entire spareslink database as looking at it closely demonstrates certain parts to be wrong, in line with the spareslink program.

We took purchase from Qualtex and sell on line and the prices we charge are consistent with those of this seller. Having checked Qualtexs prices to those from Connect and Masterpart, I find Qualtex are generally the same as all the other trade prices available to us.

The main difference is the margin being made by the Seller, we make between 25 and 35{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on most items and only looking at this sellers prices, we are too in the same ball park area for charges.

The problem the original poster puts forward may however indicate he is not getting the best prices from his supplier and we all know how this works, see the threads about Connects charging structure for example. However this is a matter for him to resolve and I wish him all the best.

    Re: Random Thoughts No.54

    Ken Hi

Some years ago we were a relatively senior operator within the industry but we were bored and fed up with it. We had an opportunity to move out of the industry into other things and we chose to do that and were successful at it.

About two maybe three years ago, I was persuaded to have a look again at White Goods and having undertaken some research our company decided to come back into the servicing side of the industry.

Our decisions were based on information received primarily from this site and now we make a reasonable living from it. Our primary reason was for the challenge of the job but we knew from the regular posters on this site that things had changed significantly and life would be a roller coaster. The one thing that really hit home was that UKW had developed a for want of a better way to put things “a family” of posters in a similar position. We knew from this forum that the UKW family would help us and guide us.

Whilst I dont post very much, I actively read most posts and have learn’t an awful lot of background information from it some of which has been invaluable in directing us along the right path. I and my company are most grateful to you, Sean, Kevin, Dave, Rob and all the others that run and organise UKW as your work helps us no end.

You posting mentions several times your attitude. I have absolutely no problems at all with your attitude or manner; in fact I very much like it. I dont have time for sentiment or bullsh1t. I like your genuine and directly honest approach to things, and I encourage you to continue with it. I dont have to like someone to do business with them (although it helps) but I do have to trust them. You and the UKW team I both like on a personal level but more importantly for me, I trust you implicitly.

In short Ken, you do what you have to do, when you have to do it! You have and always will have my total support in your endeavours; i just wish I could be a bit more proactive in assisting you with it.

So, to all the team at UKW and all the regular posters to the forum, thanks and keep up the good work.

    Re: D&G and Whirlpool

    Rudi thanks for the update

Sounds to me like organised and specific mis-selling of an insurance product by D&G, something seriously frowned upon by the authorities.

What we need a couple of complaints to the FSA and DTI and some big fines handed out to D&G and Whirlpool to teach them a lesson on telling the customers the truth.

    Rudi Hi

    Very interesting…

Servicepower, the Jonathan Trubshaw / Powerhouse set up; have recently obtained some work from Glen Dimplex. We work for Servicepower amongst others.

When we called for some spare parts and technical information direct to Glen for a job we were doing on a Servicepower call we were told that in addition to some cooking appliances (mainly microwaves) we were going to get the overspill on refrigeration work also and did we need the any technical info on that.

It seems Glen are a sending it everywhere.

I agree with Steve. If we want to have a proper say in our industry we should try to lead from the front.

As usual Ken you have my total support.
