We use to do work for D&G but we only got the work because of being a Manufacturers Service Agent ,when we stopped being service agents for the manufacturers we were working for, these service arrangements were immediately stopped
We as one of the service agents for two of the biggest with a large area tried to carry on with the then chargeable work coupled together with hopefully D&G work Alas that was not to be… On the past experience with insurance companies it always starts off with ambition and usually ends in tears as they dictate the fees and areas and they always question the ability of the Engineers actions on the repairs cost etc etc
With the general demise of Appliance Engineers up and down the UK it does not surprise me that they may have trouble in getting a first class service from a dwindling supply of decent engineers Maybe if these so called experienced men in suits paid the correct going rate in the first place they probably would not be sending out the information Squadman has received,as a lot Appliance Companies would still be here But lets not forget D&G can always use 0800 !!! l rest my case.. as for me, we are too old to be putting up the insurance companies malarkyjess1ca

Yeah used to use Maddocks around 30 years ago they were ok then but in the latter years they are the pits Sometimes they want your business then they dont Stopped using them 7-8 years ago and they still send out email overtures… yeah they do not deserve any trade… never ever use their fan elements…just cheapo chinese products

l wonder what Domestic and General think haha….. its all coming home to roost.. l just love it .. all these smarts in charge must have lost all interest in what was a cracking good service network and also think of all the old Zanussi Agents who put their all in to making that cracking Service team… Alan Steward eat your heart out !!!!!!.. All went Pear Shape when Electrolux thought they could do it better

Yeah EFS it was a nightmare!!!! All the work was some non entity product which there was no ready information or parts supply and most jobs on recollection were BER so the £40.00 + Vat rates were then reduced to these poor rates When we question the issues there was always excuse after excuse as to the rates We are best out of it ,as it had the same sort of issues we experienced with 0800 So l would not recommend doing work for these work providers

Wow £40.00 + Vat That is OK if you get paid !! We only got around £15-20 per call and the problems were, we doing a lot of mileage to sort the customers problems Then after we sorted the problems there was then question and answer time on how did we think the problem was caused, it got so bad that it was bordering on the bazaar it was question after question i.e. Cooker with broken glass door yeah then how did it break well lots of factors but what ever you explained they gave the impression that they did not believe the issue ” The door glass shattered end of ” Always 2 visits calls for one fee

Stop now kentapplianceworld as it will end in tears…. We used to work for them and had problems much the same as 0800 the fee was always being reduced so to hell with it….. These companies always promise the world , but as we always say ‘ they got champagne brains but lemonade wallets ‘
