Hi Fasetester Yeah I’ve worked on these Dishwashers remember the hose clips are the same as Haier Bush Vestel … as its basicly the same machine…I’ve always found that to refit the old clip although looks good it never seals as it did before,it seems to deform somehow and the sheer pressure the pump delivers will cause the hose to leak at the clip point Cannot understand that any of the Screwdriver Van boys have’nt had this problem when changing the recirc pump on the Argos machines Wot do they use??? Hey fasetester l think l would replace this machine with a Hotpoint as they seem to fit better on built-in Just remember that most appliances are pretty crap these days…

The is a tool for doing the hose clips but for the life of me l cant think what its called usually l have had to fit new clips but a normal jubilee clips is too wide so try and obtain a a thinner hose clip i.e the type Zanussi use on their machines There is a clip you can purchase from the like of B&Q but its gotta be thin!!!Also on these machines l have found water to be present in bottom tray causin’ the flood level switch (if Fitted) which sometimes is caused by Doris using the all in one tab, this seems to overfoam and thus water leaks into outer tray… get rid of this and it should start..l hate these all in one tabs as the simple tablet is better and also make sure that user fills rinse aid and salt The manufacturer does not fit the rinse aid and salt unit for the benefit of his health despite what the tab makers say….Hope this info helps…

l was refering to the recirculating pump not the drain pump…. To set the impellar to locate with the mounting to the motor body needs a bit of juggling to locate then it should just hang to its fixing..Sorry l did not make it clear to which pump l was refering to Hope you have success..

Fasetester Have you checked the drain on the sink unit as l have taken these machines out then found that the cause was a blocked drain hose also had these hoses fill with solidified fat l think its worth checking just in case as the fitters installing D/W may have not correctly position drain hose

Sometimes you can use an ‘o’ ring with a self tap screw in the hole l have done this on some of the metal tanks with success… You can only get away with this type of repair if the said hole is small enough to accept a screw also to make sure that its all sealed use a bit of debor as well and hopefully Doris has got a machine workin!!!

I ldid one of these pumps a few months ago and the trick is you have rotate the pump and seal in such a way that it then goes into the position it needs to go l have several goes at getting it right…also l did not take cabinet off l just undid the said tork screws and gently lifted the cabinet away from base then removed pump Pigs ear job but once the rotation is correct it all should go back hunky dory Please note that tork can be spelled torq but l use it how it comes to my brain l am always getting told off bout my spellings and grammer on these blogs.. By the way hav’nt done another pump since If it needs a new pump Bosch Neff Siemens prices usually write it off Hope this info is usefull….

l was at a customer who had had a 0800 Engineer and she reckoned that the Screwdriver on the top of the van could be an accident risk as much the same as the gentry putting chrome horses on the bonnets of thier prestige vehicles Just imagine if the bloody thing came off its brackets and hit someone !! Health and Safety??????mmmm…

Its very interesting regarding the Qualtex site , l have been quite surprised to see Maddocks prices are sometimes cheaper than Qualtex … Connection prices have increased somewhat of late and now l find Maddocks do have the edge on some spares, lt would be interesting to see if others find the same??? So its worth checking the Maddocks Website as well… Of course if you want to protect the number further with your customer you can always reverse the part number then that stops the customers checking other websites for , if they can get it cheaper attitude… l often wonder with our site this happens … and dont forget that Connections with their 4parts etc and different names they are using on the web its makes it a difficult’ Playing Field’…

Hi John l thought that when l had that fault on these machines and my first thought was da direct drive but was informed by another engineer that the bearing will cause this quirky little fault, after changing back half da fault was gone but changing da back half was a pain up da wotsit it took mr approx two an half hours in da house Next time l think l will do in da workshop It comes apart quite easy but l still hate doing da job….

    Hi Franz
Sounds like a Module but did you pause first then switch on/off button off Then reset by control to Zero then switch on… then set to desired programme then start.. coz these haier machines have some quirky details and to reset must be done in this mode When you start this procedure the machine is on with display showing 11 mins Then start procedure Hope l have’nt confused the issue The PCBs are quite cheap on these machines

Hi Washdoctor l was trying to point out that some engineers are time served with a proper apprenticeship in electrical and domestic appliances l think it is quite wrong that a national Company can sell franchise to anybody with the cash and a screwdriver (l was quite shocked to be pulled up on my spelling!) l would have thought that these franchisee companies would check the credentials of their proposed people, before accepting the cash but l think that they would start up anybody who has the cash. Lets face it its their business and they must make profit where they can..
