Re: Scandinova FF6-6845 Freezer evaporator fan

    Hi bryan,

Finally got back to this FF tried all various motors that I had but all too deep etc. The laminate frame on motor is quite slim and the motor is held in place my two plastic clips onto this frame. there are also two screws that screw into the back nuts on the motor. It seem a shame that a perfectly good FF cant be used because if this one fault. As you said even a single speed motor would do the job but the dimensions are quite critical.I am informed that the genuine motor is obsolete. I been comparing online and the Beko 4151840485 looks similar dimensions. Anyone views on this?

    Many thanks

    Re: WT540

Hi all, just a follow up on this, got a refurb board from EMW solved problem.
Apparently, irrelevant fault codes are not uncommon on these. Its worth checking the connectors on these boards as well, as they can work loose enough to give error codes.

    Re: WT540

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. If I see obvious damage I will try repairing myself. I have to go back to job to check what version the PCB is before I go to EMW. So I’ll have a good look at it.

Looking at previous postings and at EMW site , random fault indications seems to be quite common with this machine.

    Re: hotpoint BWM20 board blown

Hi, just a quick follow up on this,

Sent module of to QER, managed to get it repaired. They said Problem was probably caused my a drop of water shorting across tracks. This knocked out the chip and hence the power to the board How a small amount of water got into the PCB housing I cant work out. All though PCb is situated in front of machine under door gasket it is well covered.Machine is not leaking nor gasket damaged??

    Thanks for you help.

ps Still dont know how to up load photos

    Thanks again
