Thanks kaibart, I have not looked at the ntc’s. I have checked the elements for earth leakage.

    Re: bosch WTE84107GB/02 dryer

The IC was a TNY266PN which is on the main pcb on the WTE86304, worth a check to see if its the same IC on the WTE84107GB.

Sound just like the fault I had with WTE86304GB/05 which was the switch mode IC which you can get from CPC. See my posts for this Model

    Re: bosch dryer

Before I changed the IC I ran the dryer until it went dead, approx 10-15 mins. Changed the IC & ran the machine for 1 hour, didn’t stop. Seems OK. Hope it works for everyone else. It looks like this IC or a similar one is used in other white goods modules. It controls the switching of the AC mains to the low voltage transformer feeding the contol circuitry & display.

    Re: bosch dryer

OK, think I have solved this one. Having spent some time fault finding the PCB I have replaced the IC TNY266PN which is controlling the switching in the AC DC power supply. Cost £1-74 from CPC. The Dryer is now operating normally. Hopefully customer should be happy, not having the expense of replacing the expensive PCB (£202-00 from Bosch) or buying a new dryer.

    Re: bosch dryer

Ive got one of these today. After 10-15 mins goes dead no lights on panel, checked power to PCB, OK. Anyone got a cure for this without changing the PCB (£220) would be appreciated.

More than likely the mains filter. Visually inspect for black soot marks.
