Dave, I’ll take that kit off you and I can always source the bolts elsewhere if necessary. the site may even have them?

I did notice yesterday that the white plastic/nylon buts are split!

I’ll take the lid off when I get home and look. Are bolts likely to bend?

Thanks Dave, that would be great.

I had a look at the Qualtex website but I couldn’t find the suspension kit.

I’ll call them later and speak to someone.

Thank very much for your replies, I have been on a bit of a mission to keep this old girl going.

I’ll have a look at those kits Dave.

and I’ll have a closer look at the machine and get an idea of what is involved and how difficult it would be to remove and fit the suspension.

Thanks again for your help gents.

When going into spin cycle, the drum sometimes bangs what sounds like the side of the machine body, although there is no damage. The suspension looks okay, does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

Thanks very much Iadom, I’ll check that out, I suspect opening the door to check if dry could be the cause!
    many thanks

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

    Hi again,
Thanks to fantastic service from UKWHITEGOODS the new inlet valves arrived today (next day service again!) and they have now been fitted and the macine is performing beautifully 😀

Many thanks suadehead and everyone else who chipped in with suggestions and advice, it is ver much appreciated.

Caroline has been washing all evening and the backlog is considerably reduced, so she is also delighted 😀 😀

Thanks again and I will be singing the praises of this of the help I’ve had.

    Best wishes

    Colin

I tried swapping the wires and hoses as you suggested and so far so good but I think that I will also need a hot inlet valve.

    Thanks again

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

Thanks very much, I’ll order a new valve and let you know how I get on. I’m on a mission now to get the old girl back to tip top condition. In almost 20 years she has never missed a beat apart from a couple of door gaskets.

I used to be a sales manager for Hoover when they made quality machines, pre Candy of course. I can remember being at sales meetings when Candy first came to UK and they were a joke. I can hardly believe that they managed to take over Hoover! But such is life!!

Thanks for all your help and I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

Okay guys, see if you can apply your brains to this, I’ve stood and watched the machine go through a full cycle. it sruggled to take in hot and cold water in the wash cycle but eventually did, although it wasn’t coming into the detergent drawer and I had to wash the powder away with a jug.

It then completed the wash cycle and span okay.

By this time I was believing that there may be a kink in the hoses. then it struggled to take in cold water and I finally nursed it through two rinses by pooring cold water into the drawer until the pressure switch kicked in and rinsed and span. (still no water going through drawer)

Then programmer advanced to special treatments (original problem of sticking here apparently cured!

I was ready with another jug of water, when all of a sudden the water flooded ito the machine via the drawer, washing away the fabric conditioner, filled machine in no time and completed the cycle at the correct time.

So water supply is okay and hoses definately connected correctly to hot and cold. 😕 😕

    Any suggestions?

I really appreciate your help and patience.

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

Could it be that the macine has to run a couple of time to repressurise the system?

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

Hoses definitely not kinked and water turned on. It has taken in water but very slowly and doesn’t look as if it is enough but it has begun to tumble eventually but there is something amiss!

    Re: Hoover Logic 1200 A3786

I didn’t need to turn the water off and i’m pretty sure that the hose wasn’t kinked but I’ll check that out.
Do you think that perhaps the silicone was suppsed to be there to form some sort of resistance in the pressure system? i don’t understand how it works, so I have to rely on you guys.

many thanks for the speedy replies.
