    Re: fisher paykel quntum

Most common reasons for f1 are
    1. items being stacked to high in the drawer and stopping the lid from sealing.
    2. the plastic link support behind the drawer snapping in the center which can stop the lid from sealing when shut.
    3. the lid motors failing/failed stopping the lid from guess what?
    4. split hose caused by a blocked water softener.
    5. mice chewed through waste hose.
    6. slug crawled across mains filter board and tripped it.

    Hopefully numbers 1,2 or 3.
    good luck .

Last time I checked Kiwi appliance rescue sell them at around £64 each.
as for other dishdrawers they are all made by Fisher and Paykel.

Not in my average day, although I do see what you are saying about replacing the whole drawer.

I do go to a lot of these where an engineer or customer has had a go and buggered the machine up.
For such a “simple” machine I see a lot of mistakes 😀

    Re: Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer

Heater plate open circuit, loom burned out, control module burned out or mains filter board burned out or if you are unlucky a combination of all the above.

My money is on heater plate solder/fuse has hit another track caused by the rinse aid drip.

it is one of the tracks on the heater plate.
means new heater plate , a little tricky if your first one.
    good luck.

Re: Dishdrawer won’t open / short circuit

Hi you could be lucky and wait for the board to dry or gently pull the drawer out, it takes a little force to do it and unless your lid seals are bad should not cause a problem.
Then all you have to do is find the cause 🙂

Link supports or lid motors are prime suspects.
    Good Luck

    Nice pictures
it would appear from description the water softener is blocked.
If you run the FU (should be FV )in diagnostics does the water trickle into the drawer from the small round hole or under the dispenser?
Be careful not to run the valve for longer than a couple of secs max as the hose will split.

First one can be tricky but after a while very straightforward.
The service manuals are very comprehensive if you can get hold of them.

    Re: FISHER & PAYKEL – DD6031

    Heater plate track burned out.

The heater plate forms the cicuit to the control module, so if the plate has blown there will be no power to the control and if the plate went during a wash then the lid motors would have been in the down position hence stiff to pull out.
read the manual that Helo is sending, the machines are very straight forward to work on.

    Re: Finish Dishwasher Cleaner?

I personally like them (dishdrawers) even though I work on them all the time.
Main faults are customer related, as a washer they perform very well.
    but thats a different thread.

    Re: Finish Dishwasher Cleaner?

Finish dishwasher cleaner is the mortal enemy of Fisher and Paykel dishdrawers.
About 3 times out of 10 when used in a drawer they cause an F1 (overflow).
Apparently now in New Zealand the packaging says not to use in dishdrawers.

Having said that i’ve never seen a problem with the average dishwasher using them.
