as above sounds like an F1.
You have to make sure the area around and under the mains filter board is bone dry, and that the board has no corrosion/damage.
Once the board is out for inspection you can push a screwdriver under the board chassis gently and it will lift from the base so you can get some kitchen roll underneath .

    Worth checking
1 Abnormal load ie something obstructing the lid closing properly.
    2 Lid motors
3 Link support broken causing 1
4 Leak from inlet pipe/waste pipe mice like the waste pipe
5 air flap in spray arm
    6 Impellor on motor loose

I love them and I get to work on them every day 🙂

    Re: Fisher & Paykel DD605HSS

Thanks Chris but I thought it was going to be the service manual for the 605.
Thats the 603 a few things have changed since then 🙂

NEW fault codes, display, heater, m.f.b, tub, control module, wire cover, motor rotor, and over bits.
Very few bits that are backwards compatible now
I have a printed copy in the car but not on my comp.

But could the ffds be replaced for lpg versions? so if the pipework and holes are same size which I am sure they would be should be poss?I have seen them for £50 each on e spares.

I know it would be a crappy job to do but just giving her all options.

Bit of a long shot but I seem to remember this model has a magnet in the door top right side which activates a magnetic switch just under the fascia so the oven will not work with door open.
Reason I say this is I had one once where the magnet had vanished so nothing would work.

Hi this is the problem, at some point whirlpool changed the rear board compatability with the front board.

The numbers are from the boards as you say John and 1 maybe 2 are from the lcd version.

As for looking similar the differances are mainly board colour and capacitor style ie old white ones that fail.

Nicest customer was a lady who had a problem with her F&P dishdrawer,
the code related to the motor and a common fault was if not used for a while the motor would stick .I told her how to free the motor over the phone and next day she turns up with 8 bottles of my fav beer 🙂

Whilst working on his dishwasher another older gent gave me a bottle of champagne when i told him I was recently married.

Engineer Has got back in touch saying “the technical department has said thats ok .”

Now just got to pin down a call out time which means I am stuck without an oven for at least another week.
In theory I could get the part and install it in no time but gotta love the 2 year g/tee.
    🙂
    Thanks John

Of the various cleaners I have tried over the years there is one called Oven Pride.
Comes with a bag to soak racks in and it very nearly works 🙂
