    we have a development , no flashes but when i put the prog to heat and let it run its cycle i get the pump emptying and then refilling with cold water .Then the pump emptys and the heater is now heating but no water coming out of the spray arms also the rumbling noise is still coming from the main motor

    machine is fooked lads ..hotpoint engineer had a look at it and its the power supply pcb thats gone ,so its a new machine for the old man ..thanks for all your help As always the site will get a big mention to all we know

    Fan heater problem sorted Drawer leak sorted….
    Now No power whatsoever 240 v ac going in okay! .this gets worse at every attempt to repair this machine. lol.any help would be thoroughlly appreciated.

    Excellent advice as i knew it would be lads the sump hose was blocked with all sorts (not the liqourice type)unblocked and no more drawer leaks….
    Next problem is the fan is on a collet but we cant get it off how does this bloody come off?Any special tools required

    will give it a go mate thanx …also dad was asking is there a easy wasy to get the fan off the heater of the dryer as he cant find any fixing screws?

    right now have it working only on wash as soon as heating selected it trips ?

    can another hose be attached and sealed cos i tried the motor back on and it works fine?New one costs 88 quid and a new machine will cost 155+vat so a bit miffed about doing either

    found a burst hose attached to the pump,also water remnants at the heater water everywhere after tipping it on its side,argggghhhh.think it needs a dry out as well,anything else while im in there
