    Re: Eco w288 Door closure

Well she said it was stiff from new ,so i put some vaseline on both the hook and lock and if i,m honest after that i was not happy and expected her to call back.
Although the cast cover has a locating tab it can still be mounted a few mil out.

    Re: Eco w288 Door closure

    Ok

Just for future reference this is now sorted, the problem lay with the drum outer plate behind the white enamel one,as it was not lined up correctly thus throwing the door hinge out hence the difficulty in closing the door see photo

In this image the plate is not central, below is what it is supposed to be like

    Re: w288 eco

Strange, yet on page 18 the settings page, every save is confirmed by the door button 😕

But that aside it’s a bloody lovely machine.

    Re: New ISE10 leak.

When I tested the machine it leaked, with no detergent at all (on a rinse)in fact when I tried to take a look in the soap drawer it appeared that the fabcon syphon could not cope with the amount of water coming into it.

    Re: New ISE10 leak.

Well I have been to my job and can confirm it’s deffo coming from the soap box,on taking the front off you can see where the water has appeared to come over the top off the soap box and run down the inside of the front panel. If the box ain’t been modified there seems no point in fitting a new one.
What i have done is raised the front feet up to see if that cures the problem.
Strange thing is that 2x jobs have come in with the same fault, and both supplied in the same month as each other.

Re: The Most Stupid Things Engineers Say

I regret making the comment today on a call to a leaking washing machine, where i got talking to the customer who was blind ‘take a look at all the chinese tat in comet/currys’
I realised my error and found it hard to not mention the words look and see!!
Not one of my best customer relation moments

Chances are the top spring has come off or broke.

    Re: Vax !

I meant to post something a while back, but i have to echo what others have said.Early years great, then once China were involved it’s all downhill from then,we too have waited months for spares and still today we get asked for a CHEAP lightweight vac but refuse to sell this chinese tat,we just don’t need the grief.
The sheds are welcome to it!!

Oh just thought…we had a Vax customer who took offence when we told them that their machine would not be covered under warranty due to the fact they had not cleaned the filters, she sent her son in to the workshop to sort me out!!!That’s the day we gave up our agency.
