    Re: SERVIS M495 FILL FAULT

    Hi
    Sorry about delay on reply
    Hope this helps.
If there has been a leak then the flood protection has been activated. water collects in the base , fiited on the base is a large gey device internal to this is a spung that expands causing a plunger to fly out pushing air up a tube that leads to the end of the fill hose cutting the water off. In this state when the machine asks for water the control board sences the flow (there will be no flow) through the valve by the mens of a flow meter located on the back of the water valve. it will then abort . To reset look at the fill hose there will be a clear disk with a red button press the button and then retry, you will need to replace the spung (pt no.499010400)and press reset the plunger. and of cause repair the leak.
    Good luck.

    Re: Servis Quartz Error Code

    Hi,
On the first posted problem F7 was a tacho generated fault not a common problem need to check motor tacho and connections to power board bottom of machine(requires an engineer). (but has these machines are getting on a bit they do now give strange error codes with some times no reason).
Now to open the door with out power you need to slide a thin object (fish slice etc) between the door and cabinet in the area of the door hook middle right hand side of door. trying to push the hook to the left try pulling the door at the same time. it will need a bit of brute force.

As far as old past it appliances i have hundreds and hundreds of quarz machines in my patch ranging from the early 1981 examples 600 range right up to the last big door Hitachi and saphire 1990/91. Even though some are now 20 years plus in age they are still going strong with many giving little problems.

Re: New Asko washer drier..well I supppose it had to happen.

    hi,
This US version is a merloni/servis 7 kg appliance , some might have seen it under the Servis name Grande or XL6. Asko Sweden has never produced a washer drier. Its a shame that the markerting brains of Merloni only see Asko as a way of breaking into the US, I will try not go on. One of the main reasons for Merloni buying Asko was that Asko had the contacts and experiance for passing the US approvels (UL).
Lets see what shape Asko will be in in the Us next year with this machine!
