KeymasterRe: big warranties
Well… running about like a loon working and spending on fuel etc for nothing isn’t going to improve that is it?

KeymasterRe: big warranties
Not a lot of point in that if you never get paid for it.
You can sit at home with your feet up watching the telly and lose money, you don’t have to go out and spend money to lose money. 😉

Cant’ recall, you’d need to trawl the forums but they’ve been mentioned.

They’ve been mentioned before several times if memory serves.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool work
Odd.
Maybe they’re too busy running about fixing dryers. 😉

KeymasterRe: Smeg Cooker Cooling Fan Problem
That one shouldn’t have the board then.
There’s only one cooling fan so, if it works okay with the small oven then, best guess, the main oven switch is a problem but you’d need to have a look see.
For reference the switch is this one and it has been changed:

KeymasterRe: Smeg Cooker Cooling Fan Problem
Can you confirm it’s just an A2 and not a variant with anything after that as there’s a number of them with different configurations?
The original A2 will be of about 1998 vintage.
On that, there’s at least two variations.
Fun isn’t it? 😉
I suspect though by the sounds of it and, some may chime in here, that it’s one with the cooling fan control board on it, that’s popped and it’s totally obsolete now.

KeymasterRe: Induction motor ?
It’s a moot point probably as the motor and a bunch of other stuff is obsolete.

KeymasterRe: UK Whitegoods drain pump compatibility
The drain filter has, pretty much, bog all to do with the dry side in that and many other regards.
Not an indicator that will tell you anything here.
Only way to find out on a washer dryer normally is to strip the dry side down/open it up.
My advice, ignore all other than you have a burning smell… something is either sat on the heater or in the chamber giving that off or a component is burning… which, what, where and why. It’s a process of investigation and elimination till you get answers to those questions.

KeymasterRe: UK Whitegoods drain pump compatibility
The symptoms you describe don’t sound like a pump burning as, if it was going to burn it’d be visibly damaged I would think. And, probably would’ve failed if it’s as you describe.
Sounds more like something has gotten into the heater chamber.

KeymasterRe: Smeg Oven Fan Motor
The main oven fan should kick on as soon as the oven is energised and, if they’re gonna go like that it’ll usually pop the trip straight out the gate.
It’s possible of course that it’s gone that way but, it’s pretty unusual.
But at 125?C or thereabouts, the cooling fan will (or should) kick in on the cooling fan control or initiation stat and if it bangs out when it hits that sort of temp I’d have thought those to be more likely suspects.

KeymasterRe: Smeg Oven Fan Motor
Cooling fan motor makes sense or the fan initiation stat.
If it’s a plastic cased one, Smeg says it’s obsolete now.
If it’s metal then it’s this one:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/6952105 … -fan-motor
And it is noted that they are not interchangeable.
But do keep in mind that there may be other causes.

KeymasterRe: Masterpart Ceased Trading
Actually…
It’s done online a favour and, in a way, done you guys a favour as well.
If you think about it.
Masterpart were often the ones punting out parts on Ebay and Amazon primarily for stupid money, way below retail prices so them being gone, ain’t a bad thing in that regard for anyone.
