KeymasterIt’s a slider kit you’re after and a lot of them are make/model specific so we’d be needing that information to help you out. 😉

KeymasterAlthough you have to wonder how this information came to be in the public domain don’t you? Not that I’m trying to infer anything here but you have another company out there chasing the same work, with a disgruntled ex-employee and a disgruntled ex-director involved. Now maybe, just maybe, there’s something in that.
And, when you think about it, much the same tactic was used for a while against CDSL some time ago, basically trying to discredit them.
Now, where would the link be… 😉

KeymasterRe: Zanussi DCS14W Leaking..Constantly Trying To Drain
LouLou,
I do cover Glasgow but in all honesty, we’re not stocked or geared to handle Zanussi products. Generally we do what we’re agents for and that’s it.
Depending on where you are in Glasgow you could try the following…
Angus McMilan on 0141 9501200, Gus is a decent bloke.
Davie McWaters (IIRC) at CDA on 0800 9803917.
Hope that helps.

KeymasterRe: brandt wfh1671u bearings
If it’s just “U” on the end then AGORA lists bog all, so NLA.
If it’s a “UG1” then they are, but I suspect they’re the same anyway…
Bearing seal – 55X2521 – £23.21 😯 (taking the **** methinks)
Bearing (Inner) – 55X2513 – £37.81 (Ditto)
Bearing (Outer) – 55X2514 – £33.05 (and again, ditto)
And the full spider assy is listed (I think) as 55X5839 and is listed as a “Bearing” with the price of £54.61, not available though from stock and neither is the seal with no ETA on either.
Brandt, gotta love ’em. 😕

KeymasterYes it is, the glass visor (glass to the front of the unit) is part number 002090069 and is priced at £10.50 excl. VAT & carriage. This is the glass only, it does not include the holders.
If you need it ordered just email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and we can deal with it for you. Probably not till the start of the week now right enough.

KeymasterSounds like a thermostat or PCB problem Neil, as in the appliance is either not cutting off or is running too long.

KeymasterRefrigeration is sold branded but not any laundry or dish products to my knowledge.
Whirlpool with the US range of appliances would be the most obvious competition on laundry.
Dish, no idea.
Refrigeration, loads. Almost any one of the manufacturers that carry a side-by-side or other US sized appliances.

KeymasterYou know, I’ve been sat thinking about this all day and really there’s not a lot you can say about it really. But at least we all now appreciate how the £2 a job is being used, for a jolly.

KeymasterDon,
Id’ love to see some more reviews up, so if you don’t mind that’d be great.
Martin, I’m actually thinking on sticking with a FS machine so I can swap it out easier. I have a bit of a plan there. 😉

KeymasterRe: The Whirlpool Thing
Hmm.
To be fair to Whirlpool (for a change) they are also reputedly issuing “free” van stocks as well to up the completion rate.
I’d be asking some serious questions though. Like what about the booking of spares jobs? How will DAG know the skills of the engineer as in, what appliance he can and cannot do or what he specialises in and does not?
Fine idea on the face of it and a load of admin staff/costs could be reduced but I somehow have my doubts about such a scheme, if of course this is correct and it all goes ahead.
As for the politics of the situation with regards to policies and the sales of them, I’m not even going to go there.

KeymasterI meant to add, when Jetsystem arrived and prevailed due to the brilliant marketing campaign at the time I was sick of hearing…
“but I can’t see the water on the door!”
Now we just hear that with any A Class wash machine.
😕
