KeymasterHi,
Dave or Woz should be able to help you with this tomorrow I should imagine as they’re all on holiday today. 😉

KeymasterHi, just so you know the water stop hose is part number 688971773 and is priced at £66.57 excluding VAT and carriage on my 2003 price list, I don’t have a new PL for 2004 so I assume its unchanged.
Looks as if your tilers may have to stump up and, as Mark said, they must have given it a really good tug to do that damage.

KeymasterThanks to those that have completed the survey thus far, it’s making interesting reading.

KeymasterProduct information is the font of all knowledge and the difference between an engineer looking competent or not in the eyes of the customer. Simply saying “never seen one of these before” totally destroys any faith the customer has in the engineer and the product in my experience.
Therefore for any manufacturer to launch a range and not inform their own agents is just total stupidity in my eyes. But then, I don’t pay the bill for all those exchanges.

KeymasterHi Rob, probably be Tuesday before anyone’s back in the office to check it, but Dave should be able to supply one if it’s available.

KeymasterHeh, that’s just call centres in general.
Two years ago I asked almost 100 customers over two months or so if they wanted us to have a call stacking/queuing system and almost without exception they all said no. They’d rather use BT’s ringback or just keep trying than be put on hold and listen to a Casio Concerto. 😉
But you’re right, I was always taught that you had to answer the phone within five rings and a whole load of other stuff to create an impression for the company as that call is the first impression that many customers get, that carries a lot of weight.

KeymasterYeah, I got that bit and I’ll send down a page if Bridie doesn’t mind translating to English for me as it’s all to do with templates and stuff. Problem is that bit of it may well be technical. 😕

KeymasterThe way this was worded to me was as if it was a legislative thing, but I honestly don’t know and I don’t have the time to investigate it any further. But, if this is correct, the implications are immense for the insurance business.
Just think of the rise in premiums with this and CORGI’s new “initiative”. 🙄

KeymasterYes Pat, it’s not a problem at all to get one for you, but it will most likely be Tuesday now due the holiday weekend. From memory they’re about £20ish plus VAT.

KeymasterIf it’s the fill hose then it goes onto the water inlet valve to the rear of the unit.
However, if it’s bust to that extent you’ll doubtless need a new one I should think.

KeymasterThat’s a bit odd Paul, is the water definitely coming from the machine and not perhaps the drain? Usually if they leak, they leak full stop.
The only other thing it could be maybe, that I can think on is the metering tank overfilling but I’m guessing to be honest.

KeymasterThere are two versions I’d need the date code to be sure it was right. But for guidance..
Two PCB’s (I think, the diagram is not the best)…
The power card, 55X7768 is £83.54
The control card, 55X9723 is £58.76
Both are not in stock with me, or in France, with no ETA given. 🙁
Not a lot of help, but it’s the best I can do. 😕

KeymasterWell we pay £20 bi-annually for the MFI Identiffier disc but the only reason we do that is that we actually need the information due the volume of calls we get on those appliances. For your stuff I’m lucky if I see one a week.
Now consider the value to me. 😉

KeymasterJust as an experiment Brian, to show you what I mean regarding opinions on tech. info. please see the poll I just instigated on the front page. The results I think on that simple question alone will speak for themselves.
