KeymasterOkay, so the bits at the top are correct then? Other than that can I have a free hand to promote this and, as you say Mark, wake them all up a bit?

KeymasterLOL!
Yeah, I know you are, I just don’t want it getting about that there’s fissures within DASA, that’s not the point if you see what I mean and it could be a danger in things like this.

KeymasterThere was some notes taken, but it wasn’t as formal as taking minutes persay, not that kind of meeting. The Whitegoods Group has always been very fluid and reactionary to events as they unfold and I reckon that it will continue in that very vein, anyway, it’s fun that way! 😉
Neil and I will be working on a write up of the meeting there and the DASA Council Meeting over the weekend but to be honest, I’m so tired I don’t think I could face it today. I only just caught up with the news for the frontpage this morning on Powerhouse, a day late, sorry but Dave and I were both a bit busy yesterday. There is also just so much to write up as there was masses of information that came out of both meetings and a lot of strong opinions were voiced. Funnily enough there is near enough universal concensous on many topical issues. 🙂
One of those topical issues is being discussed in this thread and that situation seems to worsen daily and the ouotlook get gloomier as time goes by. 🙁

KeymasterWell surprisingly enough I didn’t hear one of those terms used at either meeting. Must have been the fact that there were no glorified accountants or sales people there trying to impress us with their command of business terminology, or bullsh1t as we we all call it. 😉

KeymasterAnd after you get a kick in the teeth like that you don’t even get paid in full month on month!!!!
Can anyone see a similarity with certain other WPs we’ve seen (please note the use of the past tense there 😉 )

KeymasterAnd funnily enough this was a hot topic all day long yesterday and into the wee small hours of this morning. 😉

KeymasterWell so far so good, yesterday went fine and everyone seemed to enjoy it as it was a breath of fresh air to be able to talk inside a meeting room the way we would normally talk outside of it! 😉

KeymasterAnd John Dugdale has signed up this afternoon and our friends from Sweden were back this afternoon as well!

KeymasterRe: Mastercare
Rudolph_Hucker wrote:Mastercare are opening a warehouse & call centre hub in Newark, Notts. It is a brand new purpose built complex. According to a good source from within D.S.G. this is for the white goods side of their operation and they may incorporate service from this centre. They will be advertising for staff in the next week or so and there will be is a vacancy for a Service Manager.
And on that note….
I have heard this afternoon that Mastercare *are* in the process of employing whitegoods engineers!
The saga rolls ever on.

Okay.
Flipper wrote:Yes I am ready for jacking, at the moment I’m calming down but they nearly got a spur of the moment resignation.
Never, it didn’t come across that you were a tad upset 😉
Anyway, you can’t resign we have to spin it out till Mark gets his cash off them. 😉

KeymasterAlex wrote:I think a lot of this will be discussed at the forthcoming meeting. Glad I’m going now.
I’ve a feeling that the subject may be raised at one or both meetings, yes. 😉
Alex wrote:Won’t be on line for a couple of days now due to above meeting.
I will be due to the wonders of modern technology and if anyone needs any help with sign-ups or any other problems I will be able to demonstrate at the meetings.
Alex wrote:I think this story will run & run.
Oh yes I thnk you may be right on there.

KeymasterWell a while back on the same contract funnily enough the call rate was increased by 2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} odds and this was hailed as a victory at the time, but then by the back door (again) the BER rate was dropped by (IIRC) about £7 or £8 a call. So the net effect was that the rate was dropped at that point, that was nearly two years ago IIRC.
Now they drop it again through inefficiency, now that’s taking the p**s big time!
And here we all are not getting paid enough to provide the service at the levels requested as it is, do the math!

Keymasterjuan_kerr wrote:Yes it is true, and if another rumour is true they are not doing a very good job either.
Funnily enough I have heard that from several sources now.
juan_kerr wrote:Why the company in question has not taken the extra money off of their management fee is ridiculous, they can’t handle the work, so those of you working for them stump the bill.
My guess, because they cannot afford to give up any money from anywhere and are trying all sorts of underhanded methods to claw money in or not to pay it out. Look at this, rejections, rates, upping management fees, taking on more volume than they can handle, handing out the admin work…need I go on?
juan_kerr wrote:Where will it all end I wonder
My guess, bankruptcy for some people. 🙁

KeymasterAlex wrote:Who are we talking about? is this a company we have read a lot about on this forum recently? Take a look at the number of people that has read about one such company in the rumour mill. Over 200 at the last count, speaks volumes.
Ehm, could be! 😉
Without mentioning names or they’ll try and take me to court for it as they are good at threatening everyone with it would seem, in fact if they took everyone to court they’d threatened with it that’s all they’d be doing never mind administrating calls! 😉
However it’s not rocket science to work out who it is anyway.
Alex wrote:Looking at the content of the above, this sounds like a company that are national and act as intermediaries for insurance work.
Yes, exactly.
Alex wrote:I must assume it isn’t an agency my company carry out work for, as none of my work providers have tried or suggested a reduction in rate. They will get a two word answer, the second being off.
Indeed, I’d do the same and probably in the same terms just as I told them that a certain large contract they took on would not work…wonder how that’s working out for them? 😉

KeymasterFlipper wrote:And rightly so Mark they should take a £1 of us. It says so in my contract just like it says JT (cont.) can give it me up my arse ! Like FUCK (sorry for swearing ). Jo Lo and anyone else who answers the phone is going to end up deaf tomorrow.
No need to apologise for swearing, I’ve come out with far worse in respect of our Jonathan 😉
TBH even without the post I just made in the Rumour Mill this was gonna blow up and I’m quite sure that it still will blow up, as Mark says this is just the latest in a long line of blunders and people are waking up to it. Over the next few weeks it’s going to be fun I reckon.
I take it from this Flipper that you are a hair’s breadth from telling them to shove it?
Flipper wrote:P.S. are you loading my gun again Mark.
