The heater is the most probable cause, leaking to earth probably when it gets hot.

To test that though, other than swapping the heater to do it, you’d need suitable test equipment.

What I can tell you is that the heater is a fairly common one to go and it’s this one if you need one:

There is however also a cheaper alternative one, this one:

Most are easily enough changed by taking the back panel of the oven off allowing you to get to it. The drawings for that oven aren’t too clear but it looks to be that way.

The fan heating element used is this one, there’s two options a genuine and a cheaper compatible one:

    Neff seem pretty good ovens.

Thing about them all is this, they all have some variance in them unless you’re cooking like Heston Blumenthal scientifically and needing complete precision you’re unlikely to notice or, adjust your cooking to suit.

If you do want or need that sort of precision in temperature though, it will come at a steep price.

Okay, if that’s correct there should only be the one version but, if you’re working from that old listing alone then it could well be wrong.

In the D4100 range there are 13 versions I can find so are you sure of the model as in, that came from the rating plate?

If it’s the thermostat shown at position one on the following then it is sadly obsolete.

    It’s not adjustable.

What’s the PNC or product code on the rating plate, it’s inside the oven door opening?

Just remember that there’s a 10-15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} variance in a domestic oven thermostat generally.

Then on top of that most cheap oven thermometers are notoriously inaccurate.

So, such a deviation isn’t really a shocker.

To temp test a static oven correctly needs time and multiple sensors.

I still can’t wrap my head around this truth be told but my personal thanks to those that attended the ceremony today along with those that sent messages.

This is why there were a few people that weren’t about today.

Also my respect and thanks to the various people (you know who you are) that have helped from an industry perspective with rebooking calls and so on for Phil. This did not go unnoticed even although nothing has been said of it openly. Thank you.

Re: Beko Fridge Freezer fridge freezing rapair….

You can chop out insulation and replace things in there, sensors, evaporators and so on but, as a veteran in doing so there’s a couple of things you need to know.

You need to seal it back up completely and fully, a second rate job will not do.

You need to ensure that there is NO moisture whatsoever in there. None. Nadda.

If it’s not sealed up 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} or there’s any moisture in there or gets in there then it will increase over time and, when it does, the insulation will break down, moisture will spread and the insulating properties will fail.

When that happens you’ll get an ice ball on the inner and possibly outer of the cabinet.

At that point, it’s effectively scrap.

Any insulation repair jobs I’d give a 50/50 chance on, at best.

Some work, most don’t and that’s the reason why any domestic refrigeration repairer will run a mile from doing any insulation work, simply as the odds are stacked against a successful repair.

I’ve done scores of them and, I can assure you, this is the way it is with these jobs.

You never know though, you might get lucky.

We’d need to see it to take a stab at what it could be as well as knowing what the items are and know what the care labels say about drying them and, keep in mind, that it could be transfer from other things in the load.

    I don’t have “a take” Martin.

There’s only evidence to support a theory or conclusion or, there isn’t. I don’t look at these (or others for that matter) in any preconceived way.

Check the thermal limiter in it, normally on the top or back of the oven cavity somewhere, looks like this…

Which is the one for that model.
