KeymasterRe: Washing Machine will not empty
If it’s sticking it’ll be gunked up and resistant to moving.
Door lock sounds unrelated.
But, I am not a Bosch expert by any means.

Yes, it’s an eco ball and if that sticks you’ll get no drain.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers
Problem is Jim that fire needs fuel to burn.
In a dryer that’s either what’s in the drum or, what’s built up in lint/fluff in the cavity.
There’s nothing else that can burn until the fire catches and spreads from either the motor, heater, mains filter and so on.
A point I raised and have continued to bang on about is people drying things that should never be in a dryer as they can be a fire risk period or, can cause excessive lint build up. Then atop that you’ve the maintenance issues that we all know about.
What the machine cannot do is make the fuel to burn.
Sure it can be a bag of c–p build, can have issues or whatever else but, it still can’t make the fuel to allow fire to the degree we see in the photos etc. That fuel has to come from somewhere and, there’s really only one place it can come from.

To send one to the like of BSI to get tested is about £2-3K so I’d bet nobody will be falling over themselves to pay to have that done.

I think it’s either Cata or some Chinese thing sold through B&Q exclusively.
Good luck with either.

There’s the pump and a couple of hoses, pretty much that’s all.
A model would help though.

Not a lot.
But I think the point that’s being made is that, if that’s all that the person attending can do that they may not be able to spot any other potential issues.

I can’t find any info on that model at all but, it’s an Argos exclusive so unless anyone has access to some technical info you may be forced to go back to Argos.

Did you look at Beko as, in the price range, that’s probably as good as anything else?
Induction is fine once you get used to it.

KeymasterRe: ISE W1607W F11 error code
It is a draining error from memory so, there will be something in it no doubt. Check up at the outlet toward the back of the filter housing, the bit the filter goes into as 5p pieces and such are a favourite in there.

KeymasterRe: Dirty Oven Fire Danger. Is it real?
Err, Martin….
I’ve seen numerous fires caused by fat build up. Primarily when grilling but it can happen when using a static oven function as well.
Every single oven “fire” I’ve seen has been as a result of that or something in the oven that shouldn’t be, left till ignited.
So yes, it is important to ensure that it doesn’t get too much grease build up or, it can go.
Melodramatic perhaps, if it never happens to you.
