    Did one at the weekend , same symtoms – tacho magnet had come loose .

    You should check the tacho coil is o.k.-
    Two wires run to the end opposite the belt , check for continuity and make sure everything is tight ….

    If i was asked to fit genuine – no problem .

    Generally speaking , the area i`m operating in really want it fixing asap and as cheap as possible , most machines being at least 5 years old but often doubling the value of the house contents …….. 😕
    gen parts really aren`t an option ..

    Bit of a shocker – know how much i get `em for ………

    Everyone happy `coz their machine was fixed for cost + a pint or two but made me think ……. Are we selling ourselves too cheap ??
    I do new carbons and a motor clean/check for £40 but that`s in the rough end of Leeds .

    we all have overheads – London prices ??

    Same symtoms but traced to tacho unscrewed itself in the motor ..

    A tenner is about right 😥 Get it fixed if you can , they`re sound machines ..

    Possible chaffed wires on the brick – check the filter 1st ,much easier !!

    Mr penguin speaks the truth – I did the course about a year ago . Gave me a sound grounding on what to expect and a good deal of time spent on the safety side of things ….
    Not cheap , but then you wouldn`t buy a beko would you 😆

    Glad you found the cap fix useful – nothing new at the mo , spending time sorting out some blown WMA boards using a tip on the same sticky by DDSDDS – GREAT `sticky`…. 😆
