Sorry I haven’t replied, I am not getting e-mail updates for some reason. I have a selection of stuff, in a couple of different garages. I am not prepared to start looking for certain parts for certain models, I just want rid of the lot. i do know I have no wma tubs.

I was at Merloni about 10 years I think in total, until they bought Hotpoint and messed the whole thing up!!
I was still mainly on the tools at Lofra, covering any and every area where I couldn’t get engineers to cover, so always kept my hand in.Just for everybody’s info. I have told no lies. I am an 0800 franchisee, not one of the main men as everybody seems to think. I am happy with the way it is going but will not be drawn into loads of questioning and arguments about it, especially when people are just guessing or rumouring. As far as I am aware all the other franchisees are just as happy as I am. Happy New Year to you all.

Merloni were fantastic employers. I worked for them for 9 years-I won holidays every year_I made a bonus every year that took my salary to £35,000 believe it or not. They never questioned use of the van or the mobile phone-it was the best job going. Then in came Hotpoint-though Merloni bought them, all the Hotpoint morons(sorry managers)were put in charge and all they know how to do is beat you with a big stick day in day out.They charge you private mileage-you can’t use your phone,their laptop is the slowest crappest bit of kit around. In most areas customers are waiting anything up to 6 weeks to get an engineer out-then the engineers are that p****d off they don’t bother repairing and just order parts-there is no incentive at all to complete calls first visit so everybody just keeps going back and ordering more parts. Managers follow you around-even camcording some engineers between jobs-I could go on and on but let me just say DO NOT GO TO WORK FOR MERLONI-YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!! I am out of there now and the stress levels are right down!!Re: New World Series II gas cooker – door seals?

These seals are still available through Indesit who owned New World at that time. I cannot remember the part number but I won’t be far off with C00150984.Call Indesit-Hotpoint on 0870 6070805.
They should cross reference the G.C. no to their model no but if not the seal should be the same as the one on the model CKG21514

You should find the model number if you draw the oven out of the housing 6 inches down on the left hand side. You can call Indesit direct on 08706070805 and they will put you through to parts-they may take 3 years to answer though!!
